First time bird watching and first time trying to do some proper photography, these were taken in The Gambia using my Canon 1300D, nothing special but the best of the bunch. Wildlife photography is incredibly hard work, trying to get the right light, right composition without leafs and twigs and then hope the birds play ball as well... so difficult, but managed to learn a lot about my camera.
Was using a 75-200mm lens and even with the cropped sensor would have liked a little extra zoom in some circumstances, but think the 1300D struggled a bit with some of the shots.
^ I bought the Sigma version last year, it's an absolute cracker for the money. Hopefully the animal eye focus works with the Sigma too. I'll try it on my dog, trouble is he's a Schnauzer and he has massive eyebrows .
