Picked up something new again.

Did you test drive it before buying ?

Looks nice. Think they probably look better in other colours though

Always had a big soft spot for the M6, best looking car in the BMW range in my opinion (especially in GC form in San Marino blue). Enjoy it :)

No. I did not. I just put a deposit down and picked it up today.

Thanks Vox. I agree the 6GC is about the best car they make.

Don't you drive a Mustang?! :D

And that is why it shocked me, it was not really much of a step up, I think the issue was there was no character, but the owner claimed it was 88k optioned up brand new car, it was cancelled order so he got a good deal but well I just expected more for that kind of money.

Was still a nice car, but if they normally go for 80k new I'd be disappointed, he paid a little over 60k so not so bad just expecting better but it is an M car so more about handling and performance than comfort/interior.

Its definitely a step back in terms of the other cars I have owned but you have to remember they where £60 to £90k this is only low to mid 40s. Personally I think it looks much better than a M5 and has a much nicer interior.

I just took it out for another spin as someone said the back end is really twitchy in the wet. Hopefully I will get to take it for a proper drive soon, so far I'm happy with it, I love the colour.

My mates M5 is twitchy in the dry, you need to be alert when pushing on. My mate had the M4 which was too firm even with suspension on soft and in the wet it was a handful. He was buying an M4 GTS and then realised that would only be worse, so he got a brand new M5 at a killer price.

The M5 is softer in soft mode and a touch less twitchy but it breaks traction so easily, just gotta be on your toes, there is a huge amount of firepower under your right foot and the torque from the turbo break traction very easily. :D

Didn't you recently buy a Polo GTI as your runabout? Would have thought that would be nicer than the Ford?

I can appreciate the engineering that has gone into this car, but I would echo the sentiments of others in this thread that it's just not all that exciting. Should have kept the GT4 and just bought the fiesta to save a lot of hassle :p

The 6 Series has one of, if not the, best interiors on any mainstream car on the market. It is simply superb - every surface exudes quality, it's aesthetically pleasing and everything is covered in soft leather. It's stunning - you'd need to buy a Bentley to get something appreciably better.

Meanwhile the Mustang is about as nice inside as a Focus :p

I think a 640d would be better for that as you won't need to stop for fuel :p

Every fuel stop would be an event and a chance to by the useless tat you find at service stations.

Also I thought Dr House was in his late 40's early 50's :o

I love an M6, but the Sakhir Orange paint suits the M4 better. The best colour I've seen on an M6 is Interlagos or San Marino Blue. Great car though, congrats.

So first the fiesta, it’s a 1l EcoBoost Titanium X with 125 BHP.

.
Why didn't you get a Fiesta ST ?

If I remember right there not really that much difference in price between a fiesta Titanium X & fiesta ST
