[PICS] My new car! (Honda Civic 1.5i LS)

Not bad, but colour code the sills immediately.

Yeah I have some that came with the car, however the previous owner curbed them so I have to have them resprayed along with some other parts of the car (pain, I know) and will fit them when they're done!

Good job I know someone who can spray the car for a good cheap price :D

I paid 2.3k to insure my Rover 216 a month ago. I'm 17, passed a month and a half ago. Grandad and auntie on policy to bring the price down. Remember to add relatives ( preferably female), or family friends who may need to use the car! :P

I agree with the lube quote is all I shall say!

The car however looks very tastefully done, and if you can insure it then you'll have a wicked first car. Is the exhaust loud? I would be removing it if so, as loud and slow is a bad combination.

fantastic first car :-)

My current car is a 2005 civic sport... have a soft spot for civics... so pleased my insurance isnt £2k tho, renewal this year should be around £400 with 2 years NCB aged 23.

Worth going on as a named driver? Unless you have the cash in which case get to earning those NCB's and you wont be in my position of wanting a type R but being killed by insurance due to not having them :/

hehe ahh mate awesome first car :D my first was a 91 Honda Civic 1.6 VTEC and i loved every second of driving it. I did actually look at one of these, but I was a sucker for the 5th gens and held out for one of those.

I too got spanked on the insurance, but its worth it :)

Now driving an 06 Civic sport ;)

Been looking at quotes for next year (march is my renewal) as I'd like to start saving some money for it over summer so I'm not stretched at the time... Looks like I'll be hitting about £600-700 fully comp at 18 with no NCB. <3 Classic.

Nice tidy first car from what I can see. The Spolarz are Honda items before anyone tries to point them out. Single cam VTEC y0!

Single cam 16v non-VTEC aren't they?

Same engine as in my old one?

Nah, they are VTEC-e. Shame we get the poor relation to the JDM version which has 3-stage VTEC and makes 130hp and has lean-burn mode.
