When I was 19 I bought a car the same age as the op's - 4 years old. Except it was a top of the range Mondeo and it cost less than 3 grand. His age is no excuse.

I just think it is ill becoming to be so gleeful about someone else's misfortune really.

He will in due course, or maybe he already does but is too embarrassed to admit it publicly. He might feel ashamed at wasting so much money. I think he deserves sympathy rather than scorn.

As Fox said, biggest fail of 2009 so far, and it will take A LOT to beat that. Shocking.

Ruddy 'ell I go away on holiday and all hell breaks loose...makes my Boxster thread from some weeks back look relatively bargainous (at least it was for a great car with a top notch spec), yet I quickly came to realise that was a pretty bad deal, so James, for your own sake, listen to the advice, please!

I can hardly believe what I have read in this read, there is nothing I can say that hasn't already been said five dozen times already, at least. But James, you are making/have made a serious mistake, I'm sure there must be a way out of this as some people pointed out, the Consumer Credit Act should come into play here and allow you a grace period. You will lose your deposit though, but that's nothing really to get out of this murderous ...sca ...deal, no I do mean scam actually.

Engage your brain please.

I put salt in my tea last might by accident and that was quite unpleasant. I didn't accidently the whole 7k for a small slice of happiness found in an old Clio which is better than an even older Punto. Had he admitted his mistake and not made posts such as 'i'm happy leave me alone lololol' and 'Fox your being a knob' people would offer more in the way of sympathy for him.

I understand that, but I also realise that it can be hard to admit your mistake even to yourself, especially when it involves a lot of money. I would cut him some slack and not judge him too harshly.

A lot of good advice was given regarding his rights in this situation. Unfortunately you have to strike the iron when is hot to get things in action and recover this financial trainwreck but James has decided that he knows better than the combined life experance of over 100 people and decided to keep his hideously expensive, hilariously underspec'd piece of bargain French tat. Had he bought it for around 3k I am sure I large majority of would have gone either 'that's a nice little car' or 'lol French car it will explode and kill you'. This is probably why my new car threads only last about 2 pages because they are so boring, sensible and cheap that no one can argue :p

Well what have you done about it, have you spoken to Carcraft, have you spoken to the CAB, have you taken legal advice on how to get out of your financial ball and chain? If you answer no to any of those questions then yes, you are THAT stupid.

. . Only if the BNP radar kicks in haha

If only people like you were brought up in a place like Bradford, the BNP leader mentioned Bradford in his election comments, what makes u think Bradford is perfect? Racism is worse here against whites then it is against asians, get a grip, live in bradford and actually experience the lifestyle before making a snide comment.
