Pics of stuff we bought in November!

So these will be on par or better than my Senheiser HD555's? Mine are getting a bit tattered now after 4 or so years of daily use. I was thinking of just getting some more as they are comfy and sound great.

some sennheiser's are amazing, so are these, i dont know your ones specifically, but they should be on par after burn in, if you also mod them, look at head-fi thread, they will probably end up being a lot better.

its up to you to decide, read through the thread a little, lots of audio experts are saying they are amazing, unfortunately i do not know myself as i do not own them, so i can only go on their reviews.

if i was looking to spend up to £100 on a set, these are the ones to go for imo (save the £70), if i was looking to spend over £100 i would probably suggest hd25-1 ii's.

have you looked at the head fi thread mate? apparently these things are meant to be simply amazing, on par with headsets worth up to 5-10 times the price.

basically the bees knees. a lot of people have sold their high end headphones after getting these, they were that good.

If I were to get these, even at £30, I would really be throwing money away, in no particular order, I have the following:

Sennheiser HD 600, HD 580, HD 495

Sony MDR 7506 (considered by many to be one of the best headphone money can buy, for it's neutrality, it is used in studios all over the world)

etymotic er-4p (broken though)

Goldring (some model) noise cancelling closed headphones (UTTERLY amazing on a flight to cancel out engine noise or any noise)

I also have a Musical Fidelity X-Can v2 headphone amplifier with a X-PSU and some wacky values that is getting rare than hens teeth.

And do you know what I listen to on my journey to and from work?

iPhone with apple in ear buds (the sealed ones).

Admittedly the panny phones are meant to be pretty decent.

As for burn in lol try my ultrasone 900's, takes at least 300 hours i kid you not.

Im half tempted to buy an alessandro ms1, and mod to to ms1000 it's meant to be quite a difference.

Carry on.

Just had a look and HD555s appear to be around the £100 mark now. When I got mine they were £60 . But I think that might have been a misprice. Best £60 I have spent. In fact i think I'll just keep these till they fall apart. They are still working perfectly, the paint is just scratched and worn and a couple of small dents in the mesh.

So far this month I've bought..... (excuse the picture quality, sed my BB lol)

Wow, I want that Auraglow thing. How good is it to use as a normal room light?

To be honest, not great, I think they say its equivalent to a 40W bulb .... some colours are brighter than others obviously, but I wouldn't use it as your main light for a room.

I have another light source in the room, so no problems there, and it makes a great night light for my daughter.

Those Auraglow bulbs are pretty cool (I have one myself, albeit the screw in type for a floor lamp) but I have to say that it's not that bright, even on the white light setting.

Great for mood lighting though :)

Yep, I agree, £20 a pop though depending on the bulb type!

I can vouch for the pany headphones, as I bought them as a present for my cousin earlier this year, and he seems to think they sound great. I have also tried his pair a few times, and think they sound pretty good for the asking price.

Coming from a pair of Vsonic gr07's which cost about £100, and once burned in are worth easily over £250 in sound quality, I'd say the pany's are a bargain.

Got some new games, a whole film and a book! Been much better this month, ended up spending a fortune in September and October!
