Pretty much, although it was $140. I bought it while I'm here in the states for work... I now need to think about how to get it home
As a toy that does nothing but lights up, its as fun as a lamp.
However, as a display piece, $140 is not too bad, I've paid 4 times that for a piece of art in the past.

I work Weekends, Monday & Tuesday are my drag days!
True, though since it was a limited run of 5,000 pieces, it's more of a collectors item.
The lights aren't too bad (as opposed to the picture quality here which is shocking
)

3xD-cell batteries. Pretty horrible. Probably easy to convert to use a mains power supply.
