piledriver - Official AMD FX4300,FX6300 and FX8350 review thread

For £160, I'd trade my 920 in. I can't believe I've kept it for so long! That's very unlike me, I guess getting married took up more of my cash and time than I realised. :p

I've got a big itch to play with some different kit. Already I have plans to replace the Celeron in my very recently built ITX machine with an FM2. Some boards have appeared on ebay, from HK, so if OcUK can't get their **** together and get me one soon I'll be importing one. :D
 
Turns out chrome cache view cant recover html sites. One more noteworthy thing is that the tester couldn't clock it to 4,5ghz or above (4gzh is stock). He used a Antec Kühler H2O 920 cooler.

Also when is the CPU released, time?
 
I have everything crossed that it will be a worthy upgrade to my quad phenom 555. FSX is really starting to struggle with the amount of add-ons I'm now running on it, but i don't want to spend yet more on another new mobo and an Intel chip

Yeah, I hope it's a decent upgrade from the Phenom II. I hope it's a decent upgrade to my 960t (which doesn't unlock and is only at 3.6). If not, I shall be joining the dark side.
 
I'm thinking we'll be left disappointed if looking for a decent upgrade from a Phenom II. :(

I'm still happy enough with the 965BE, feeling the pointless need for something new though...
 
So, looks to be similar to the FX8150 in where it fits in, but with higher performance.
Could be a nice encoding CPU for the money, but better price/performance than a 3770k.
