Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire

Problem is you are coming off Divinity Original sin 2, which is by far the most forward-thinking isometric rpg. Everything else feels dated compared to it... Unfortunately, with Larian making Baldur's Gate 3, it looks like a lot of fans are trying to get them to go back in time and make a 20 year old game:(. I hope they stick to their guns and continue to innovate.

As for Deadfire though, it is really good. Might not be exactly 'new' but I thought it played really well, and it is an obsidian game, so you are guaranteed great role-playing with top class dialogue.

Personally I prefer PoE2 over DOS2. I prefer how it plays and the overall feel of the game. But that said I really like my isometric RPGs so this is a given.

Not tried this but I personally found the way combat worked in dos2 game breaking. Magic ac or physical ac rendered certain attacks useless.

Yeah I hope they drop that for their next Divinity game. Though I use Divine War Mod that removes the different damage types.

I did get used to it in the end.

Just purchased the obsidian version that comes with everything for £9. Got the end of act2 on POE1 then didnt touch it for ages and forgot everything and deleted my saves.
