Never understood what the fuss was.

Pineapple has been a common pizza topping for decades, then all of a sudden people started going nuts over it being 'weird' a few years back.

I like it with ham or chicken.

Yes, this. Ham, pineapple and tuna is lovely. Also add some peppers.

In a moment of madness I once ordered a Chicken curry and banana pizza. Then sat remorsefully wondering why I'd done so for the next ten minutes.

When it came, it was actually delicious. The banana added a lovely fresh burst to the flavour.

it was from a place on the Algarve though, so can't really nip for a take out.

So it is, a Greek guy who moved to Canada and opened restaurants. So its a Greek / Canadian monstrosity.
