Yeah I agree. It's wrong on a Pizza but give me a Apple or Berry strudel/crumble and I'm eating all of it - with custard obvs.

thats actually quite reserved at the moment, I’ve seen chicken katsu on pizza and a lot of them some reason don’t have a tomato base.

I saw cheese and maple syrup. im not sure whether to be disgusted or tempted to try it

pineapple is a fruit that should be squeezed into juice.

any other use of it is heresy of the highest order and specifically putting it on a pizza is a crime so heinous the only fitting punishment is to be not merely executed, but erased from history.

the only crime greater than pineapple on a pizza is putting a slice in the bottom of a carton of chips, to ruin both the flavour and crispyness whilst simultaneously giving you ptsd.

usually i try to be open minded, but when it comes to pineapples i'm happy to be a bigoted fruitist.

I quite like Pepperoni and Pineapple. The sweetness is cut through by the smokiness and slightly spicy pepperoni if you buy the right stuff yourself.

- Warm banana bread
- Spotted dick
- ANY dish containing tomato, so also nearly every other pizza available, bolognaises, lasagnes, curries etc
- Many condiments on hot dinners - Cranberries with your xmas turkey, lingonberries with your Ikea meatballs, apple sauce with pork
- Many curries and stir fries - Mango curry, some stir fries and anything containing sultanas

Etc etc etc. This notion that people have that fruit doesn't belong in hot food is patently wrong both in cultural and culinary terms. It's been done for thousands of years because it works.

But no. Pineapple does not belong on pizza.

I was fully on board until the end Pineapple unequivocally belongs on pizza - end of. Bet all you naysayers would have happily eaten pineapple and cheese on a cocktail stick at a party in the 90's.

I was actually sort of joking I'd certainly eat pineapple on a pizza. But not with ham. Or cheese. #veganlife (if you haven't tried a Papa John's Sheese vegan pizza, you're missing out).
