Pizza hut

I’ll do a Pizza Expresss for £5 using the O2 deal.

I like a good wood fired Pizza. Weatherspoons actually do a decent fresh pizza for £6 with a drink.

I used to love Pizza Hut as a kid, it's not aged well sadly.

If I wanted to eat pizza out - then its pizza express / a local Italian
If I wanted to eat pizza in - local decent takeaways / make my own / supermarkets

The one time I did a "retro" order a few years ago from Pizza Hut....it was delivered late and cold, and that was the end of the brand for me. Never again

I went to pizzahut last week for pizza, i didn't fancy a full one so was going to share with my wife, so i asked for the $5 pepperoni, but with the pepperoni just on one half, the guy said he couldn't do it or it would cost me $14! I was like WTF? Apparently it's against company policy, i could have got 2 pizzas, one pepproni and one margherita for $10!

I remember asking a place for an extra pattie in my burger at a pub once. "sure, no problem"

Charged me twice. I questioned it and they said it was company policy. I paid. And will never forget the oddness of it all.

Ahh Wimpy, that is proper 80’s. You know there is still one going in the Broadmarsh in Nottingham? It’s a total time warp!

Wimpy is bad, they have one at Southsea above an Arcade and i had the misfortune of eating there several years ago, never again!
i didnt think there were many branches left open, but according to their website they have 74 locations (4 in Scotland, 1 in Wales and 69 in England)

I think I’ve seen a Wimpy in Andover

Not sure if they are still the original Wimpy, or just a new company who took on the name. Not had a Wimpy since the early to mid 90s.

Pizza Hut is a nostalgia thing for me. Loved it back in 80’s and 90’s and would often ‘hit the hut’ as the ad went.

loved the range of pizzas that you could help yourself to a slice of, the salad bar and dessert bar. All very good.

Bloody awful nowadays, the brand has lost its identity and is stuck in memories of the past for me, like Aberdeen Angus steak house and Harvester.

It's exactly the same Wimpy, with the same menu. A few survived the decades and in fact a few more have opened recently near where I live. I am a regular customer now one new one delivers to my house, can't beat a halfpounder. :D

Never had Pizza Hut.

Really? I’m no connoisseur, but on the couple of occasions in the past when I’ve their pizzas they were okay.
Indeed, one evening 25-30 years ago, we flew into Charlotte N.C. where we’d rented a pool home for a couple of weeks.
The English owner had given us explicit instructions to get to the house, left here, follow X road, second traffic lights etc., culminating in at the lights there’s a Pizza Hut, turn right and it’s the second left.
My wife said, “I’m too tired to go out to eat, get a couple of pizzas, and we’ll find a supermarket tomorrow.”
I went to the counter, ordered a couple of pizzas, and the young black girl said, “Y’all want them to go?”
I said “Yes please, how much do I owe you?”
She said, “Your total with tax is $15.50, (or something like that, it was a long time ago), but just give me 10 bucks and keep talking, ah love yo’ accent!”
