Plane Spotters / Flight Radar Thread

First time I've ever seen one and despite knowing bugger all about aircraft I knew immediately what it was.

Was like a big flying submarine floating through the air.

Made me keen to check out Fairford in a few weeks but the prices seem pretty extortionate.

Prices have gone crazy for a lot of the air days sadly - we have Yeovilton in our vicinity but difficult to justify the cost these days.
£62 for the Sunday. Seems mental to me but are they generally good days out? Wouldn't blink at paying that for a gig or something but as Ive never been to an airshow I dont really know what they involve.

Anyone know why Flight Radar has had problems today? Non-premium users have to wait before they can access it.

People looking for Pelosi’s plane to Taiwan?

Was just noticing there is a huge amount of US transport aircraft out of Ramstein - wonder what that is about. Some of them have Mildenhall destination but not heading there.

Also quite a few fighter jets up not showing on flight radar - had stuff come very low over my house.

Convoy back to the US would be my guess - they're quite low still suggesting they're full of cargo/fuel. Could be completely wrong though and they may start descending as soon as I post this...

Third time this kind of thing has happened recently:

One of the previous ones https://www.euronews.com/2022/06/10...ot-who-flew-across-several-european-countries can't find the other from a quick search.
Different scenarios probably. The one mentioned in the BBC news article has a similar profile to suspected incidents of pilot incapacitation as a result of hypoxia. The latter looks like criminal activity. Here, light aircraft flying low over the channel and setting down in a field with a load of people wanting to enter incognito, and/or drugs, is a fairly common occurrence.

When I first read about it the details were kind of sketchy - the hypoxia information wasn't included.

Rapid descent to 10,000 feet squawking 7700

Guessing loss of cabin pressure.

EDIT: Confirmed as complete loss of cabin pressure w/ resulting medical emergency.

2x Loganair flights having issues quite close to each other strangely:

Engine fire/issues?

The other one isn't squawking an emergency (the plane right of Peebles in the image) - but diverting for some reason - possibly to get eyes or to pickup passengers from the other one maybe.

EDIT: Pitot issues with one of them but not clear which one.
