Those definitely aren't native to the UK. We're they heading south for the winter?
They are impressive jets, it takes just under two hours for an F-18 to fly from London UK to the East coast of America.
Given Concorde did it in around three and a half hours at Mach 2 and a Hornet is incapable of supercruise (the ability to cruise faster than the speed of sound without Afterburner) you are correct.I'm pretty sure that's nowhere near true, even theoretically. There are pretty obvious reasons why they couldn't do the trip at maximum speed.
Fog at Guernsey. EGJB 262250Z 09007KT 0150 FG OVC000 08/08 Q1032.Some kind of incident at Gatwick with an Easyjet flight landed squawking 7700 - 6-7 emergency appliances went out to it - dunno any details.
Looks like it made it to the terminal so probably not too serious.
EDIT: Also another plane which diverted back to Gatwick after attempting landing at Guernsey dunno if related.
Guernsey is a pain when it comes to fog, after having had unexpected flight cancellations from there, I'll always sail now. Of course, there's the chance of wind stopping the boats.Fog at Guernsey. EGJB 262250Z 09007KT 0150 FG OVC000 08/08 Q1032.
