Instant Action can be accessed in two way:

Press escape and it's on the menu.
Type "/ia" into the chat box.

Hotspots on the map are always good to look at aswell.

Slighty cheaper. It's £8.94 a month. I'm not sure about how much it is for 6 though.

Hmm, just uninstalled the game.

Not for me, graphics are not too good and I find BF2 to be a much better game.

Can you tell me how much hard drive space this will take up from installing/updating etc?

It's just i'm a little low on HDD space at the moment with so many decent games installed...don't wanna get caught out if it downloads like 4gb of updates and THEN installs or something.

hehe im having patch issues, it seems to "download" the file then ive read in the log thigs like "file desrepency" or "unable to locate file on server"...result, ive seen some files several times on launchpad and now still have another 2 hrs to go :mad:

...assuming there are no more "file descrepencies"

Which installer are you using? The official PS one or GreyFlcn's?

Tell me how it goes at the end, you might have just been unlucky to be perfectly honest. I'll lend a hand and ideas if you face more problems.

Does anyone know if its possible to backup the download.

I have downloaded the freebie today and a friend has seen it and liked it.

Is it possible to copy it all to DVD and give it too him thus saving him having to download it all from scratch on a 512k connection? Obvioulsy he will create an account etc..

I used to do this exactly for personal backups of the files - always seemed to work for me

Yup, i've never had a problem with doing it before. I think he will need to download the installer first to ensure all the relevant folders and registry keys are created. Then you can just copy the main (updated) folder over the previous one. That is what i have always done when i reformatted my HDD and didn't fancy giving my bandwidth a workout.

i may have resolved it, seems that after it starts conflicting with my software firewall, taken that down and seems ok, just a shame the patch server is so slloooowwww....i swear the time remaining just doesnt decrease anymore..not back to 2hrs....again :mad:

and ive only got 8 files left to download :mad:
