PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

6th is my best. Just had a Banshee cornfield moment again in a cornfield. It's that realisation that I'm crawling towards the last circle but I'm not going to make it unless I show myself but knowing that there is a gunfight literally going on over my head haha!

Oh that's always a fun position to be in.

4x scopes for me are a bit ropey. Always ditch them when it gets to the last half dozen or so people. You'll be that close at that stage that 4x scoping will cause you all kinds of trouble!

ah yeah thats what happened to me. suddenly the screen was a giant camo pair of legs and i got machine gunned. haven't broke 10 yet but enjoying it

Thanks for the tips. One strategy that has worked well for me (I have played 5 games so take this with a pinch of salt) is to try and find a vehicle and get right in the middle of the circle with about 40 people left. I find it's easier to make those movements at that stage and set up camp rather than stalking your way around the edge.

Where do you get details on what like the boost item does, and whats the difference between medkit and first aid and bandage, nightmare for new people to the game, stuff like this should have tooltips in the menu.

Medkit heals you to max in 1 use
First Aid heals you to around 80% in 1 use
Bandage heals you for like 10% per bandage, but only to a max of 80%
Painkillers and Energy Drinks will heal you over time, useful to top yourself back to max after using a first aid or bandages to reach 80%

Just had the most insane 1st in Duo's, miles from circle, always chasing to get in, hardly no loot, neither of us came across helms or anything above a level 1 vest. No weapon mods - evereverything that could go wrong did bit somehow won killing a few each. This game is just so much fun.

Cheers for info, so if i have max health, then drink or take pain killers, that gives me extra health on top of max health, for a limited time, or is there no point using drink/painkillers if already at max health, cheers

I'm finding ARs more plentiful since the patch. Don't think it's placebo as it's in areas I like to land in that are not generally plentiful with weapons.

I'm finding top 5/10 pretty regularly, just can't pop my cherry for that winner winner chicken dinner on solo!! Makes every game more interesting though, this is the one. NOPE! Ok, this game is the one! NOPE NOPE! It's fun though, just came third, bloody circle monstered me. Ah well, next game will be the one haha :p

Save your painkillers/energy drinks for the top 10/top 5 shootout i find is the best bet. It will give you a sort of bullet vest on top of your bullet vest. Although, if you have a stack of them, then yeah, take them to give you a nudge.

Not that 5% makes any difference to someone of my skill level, but I'm sure I read that where you've said 80% it's actually 75%.

(Sounds like I'm being petty, I promise I'm just trying to help :monkey hiding eyes emoji: )

Thats quite alright, I could well be slightly out on the exact numbers, was just doing it to give a rough idea

Only thing I would add is energy drinks only heal 24 so you'd end up with 99 health. Haven't actually read a proper reason why but apparantly it's supposed to be like that.

So without medkit or painkillers you won't be full health after dropping below 75.

how does the team system work, is it just steam friends or is there ingame guild/team setups?

You can add anyone by ingame name via the friends tab just search them and click invite.

There's also matchmaking which you can turn on/off via the ready up menu.

Don't forget that energy drinks also make you run faster. So holster your weapon and chug one if you're stuck behind the forcefield. The hp regeneration also helps in that situation.

One thing that's confused me is it only running faster when the running icon is lit? Iirc it's only lit when you're in the last bar of energy level.
