If you want a real challenge, join a squad match on your own and untick auto matching

It is better for target pratice as well compared to jumping in hot zones in solo mode.

The music in the main menu creeps me out. I keep thinking I can hear my wife calling something to me from downstairs in my headphones. There is some weird muffled nagging noise in the background.

a lot of twitch people do this as you get lots of kills also people who farm bp. just lost a game 2nd place 8 kills played well.2nd sucks so hard.might aswell be last

otherwise the game is totally RNG based would be wrong to let people control the environment

It's in the sound options in the settings but rather than just labeling it music, its called BGM.

I really enjoy it up until the top 5 when everyone is proning, almost zero chance spotting someone if you have to get up and move for last circle.

Also FP driving in fog is crazy fun/scary.

I can't read all 297 pages of this thread but what's the story with graphics settings in this game? Can you adjust things like foliage as a "cheat" of sorts? So xx opponent thinks s/he is hiding in a bush but to you with low foliage, there is no bush and you can spot them clearly.

yeah I guess it goes against the spirit of the game, however they have said there is less chance for fog maps than all the other maps

That was solved everyone has a minimum level of foliage now. Difference between low to high is just quality. There is still an issue with render difference past 200m(I think) that means grass/bushes wont render properly but that's regardless of settings so everyone is at a disadvantage.

Basically best bet is to stay out of feilds until last two/three circles. Then you know you are covered when hiding in a bush or grass.

Speaking of bushes, used this one to my advantage yesterday, nearly got killed and hid in it to heal while waiting for the person who shot me to show himself:

Just seen my first chicken dinner on Twitch. Some Japanese dude. I'm pretty sure 144fps helped him out as his movements were so fluid. I think the guy I normally watch must be playing about 30fps or something.

In Settings, turn off the 3D model when in inventory and you should lose that annoying 1 second pausing when opening your inventory.

Saw this over at Reddit for people wanting to improve FPS. Not tried myself but response was good over there.

I've found a reasonably big fps booster, at least for myself. So I want to share it at least, even you dont have issues atm, I'd suggest at least to give a try.

Head to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\PUBG\TslGame\Binaries\Win64
Right click to properties on "TslGame"
Navigate to Compatibility -> check the "override high DPI scaling behavior" box, and hit "OK". (Application from drop-down menu)
Restart your game if necassery.

And now you should have greatly higher FPS, without making graphics look any worse AT ALL! - This also works with other games if you are having performance issues and know your hardware should run it better than that.

For me, I had 30-40 FPS at starter island before game starting, and game responsiveness was mehh, but now it is around 50-55 with vsync on, even after I upped a bit some settings! In game running perfectly with 60FPS.
