PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

So the holo and red dot scope should have an option to go 8x zoom built in then? That’s why re-shade is getting blocked.

You have clearly never used it because that is just fantasy. It doesnt magically give you a scope or make a bush any less of a bush - which is why its been allowed up to this point and has been confirmed as OK by the devs right up till now. If you bother to read the statement, they're implementing a change which goes after any app which 'invasively' modifies the game and reshade is being caught up in that because it grabs the render commands.

Someone posted a video on the pubg forums showing how to set up the Reshade zoom 'feature' but it seems to have been deleted.

Sigh. I know exactly what reshade is generally used for but someone released some shady addon that allowed that magnification. Didn't save the links unfortunately but there was a post on the subreddit and a post today I think on the official forums that was quickly removed. That's why reshade is being heavily targetted by blueballs I assume :|

I actually used reshade myself just before the release of 1.0 when bluehole completely broke AA. The game was super blurry for a while. Again there was a popular reddit post with someones reshade config which was targetting AA within the game and removing the blur. When bluehole released a fix about a week later I removed reshade as I didn't need it.

Couldn't find the reddit post but I found this with some google kung fu:

Don't want to link to the site in case it's promoting cheating

I've used reshade for a couple of matches and found I can get a better clearer picture in game just adjusting my monitor FPS2 profile and using Nvidia digital vibrance. Finally found a sweet spot for the settings and it's made a good difference in being able to spot people, so much so I might actually have a positive K/D ratio soon lol.

Is there any way to set nVidia digital vibrance to PUBG only, or is it only applied universally?

There is a little free tool. I think it’s called vibrance gui. You can get it to only start when pubg is opened. Allows you to customise the vibrance level per application. The auto start feature hasn’t been working on windows 10 for me, so I just load it before playing.

Yup looks like you are correct and I was wrong. 'New feature', seems like a dumb move from the reshade devs to include that. Reshade must go.

People getting salty about reshade being banned are probably cheaters yourself. Just sayin.

Thats a pretty dumb assertion considering the devs themselves dont think its cheating until an actual cheat was introduced. I can (and will be) using GeForce Freestyle for exactly the same lightening and sharpening effects because the game looks like **** without it.

I never said anyone using it, I said getting salty over it being banned.

Personally I think if you're changing the game in anyway shape or form via a third party, injection or editing files from the way the devs intended the game to be is cheating IMO

Really, so digital vibrance would be a cheat to you? Because that is all reshade was doing before the actual cheat and the devs were fine with it. To take that to your next logical step, as rendering is done by the graphics cards would that mean people with better graphics cards than the national average are cheating as it gives them an advantage in drawing speed, options for on-screen clarity etc? What about widescreens...

That's worked, ta!

You know what I'm getting at so stop nit picking. You know what I mean when I say third party - maybe I should been more clear and say third party apps.

This is my opinion and I couldn't care less one single little bit if you don't agree with me.
