PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

Absolutely positive that they have reduced the number of weapons, thats 6 matches now and not found anything better than a shotgun and in most of those matches only found a pistol.

It did need reducing a little but feels like they have reduced it a bit too much as the guy who gets an assault rifle has too much of an advantage now compared to last weekend. Will keep playing and see if it balances out, maybe I am just on a bad run of luck

I did have a good amount of games last weekend that I just seemed to get bad luck and only had pistol or shotgun, in the end me and my mate was just ambushing people for there loot :D

I played around 50 matches last weekend, always ended up with 1 good weapon, usually both a main and 2nd weapon. 7 games so far today and I havent had anything better than a shotgun and in 4 of those matches nothing better than a pistol (no weapon at all in the last match) , definitely seems to me that the buildings have fewer weapons in them this weekend.

The game and its Engine Unreal 4 are still going through stages of Optimisation, We wont get full Optimisation pass until the game in couple months old into EA

The best way to play this game at this moment is 1080p I have everything on Ultra apart from Effects medium and shadows low

I am at 1080P, well 2560x1080 21.9 anyway.

Will try your settings later.

Just seems to be like all these other open world early access survival type of games i.e. gash optimisation for gash graphics.

Maybe they will fix/improve it at some point but lets just say with the history of these games, I won't be holding my breath!

I manage to stay around 50/60fps at my settings more then playable
 
I have everything on High and its running fine, I initially played with everything on Ultra but decided to turn it down to High

EDIT : 10 matches played now, still nothing better than a shotgun. Absolutely convinced there has been a change since last weekend now. Even I couldnt put that down to a run of bad luck.

I'm really hoping its just a run of bad luck though because if it is a change, its a change I dont like at all. The 10 matches I've played today have felt so much more luck orientated than last weekend, which felt more skill orientated.

First house/first match got an M16 and M1911, second house got a shogun.

Still got killed pretty quickly - loving it! The guns feel very good.

Its as much fun as it was last weekend, absolutely brilliant. If I had to come up with a criticism it would be that the players need more health, its pretty much the case that whoever gets shot first loses. There is very little opportunity to overturn a fight so it does often become a case of first hit wins. But thats a small criticism and the game is just so much fun anyway :)
 
Well dropping from 2560x1080 to 1920x1080 give me a big boost in FPS but the game is very stuttery/hitching even with 60+ fps. This is with everything on low except textures + foliage.

Really enjoyed the game, it's something that you can just play for fun and not take seriously. So satisfying when you kill 2 players in a row too :D Still be a no buy from me though, at least not until I see some real progress being made, too may of these games stay in early alpha access for too long and never get the main complaints looked at.


Everyone loved my sound clips too :D

Well, end of my first day of the weekend, managed 3 5th placed finishes in solo. Seems my main problem is that I move around too much, played maybe 30 matches this evening and in almost all of those 30 I've ultimately been killed by someone camping. Maybe if I dont run about as much from place to place I might do better, will try being more stationery tomorrow :)
 
My new strat when first spawn in, find someone first him to death lol The amount people that try and pick up a gun to reload before they know it have been knocked out :D
 
I need to perfect my long range shooting, people shoot me from SO far away with smg's and so on, whereas I just cant hit them from that sort of range. More practice needed !

The other thing I need to improve on is headshots, I really struggle to get headshots, usually cant even see their head , yet I am more often than not killed by a headshot. Case in point earlier, recently landed, found an M16, bumped into someone, started shooting at them and hit them a couple of times, they turned around with the crossbow and shot me straight in the head , dead. I've got to get better at getting those sorts of headshots.
