PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

In a "real life" Battle Royale scenario, temporary pacts will be made.

Either way, all goes south eventually :D

Anyway, I am too tight to play PUBG, so am playing this instead:

http://store.steampowered.com/app/506540

"Last Man Standing"

But then again, in a real life battle royale scenario you dont get miraculously ressurrected to fight again 20 mins later. So if we apply that logic we should only be able to play the game once :D

They way people moan about teaming, you would think that was the case :p

If people had some damned morals instead of desperately trying to inflate their sorry self esteem by winning by breaking rules, then there would be zero moaning about it from anywhere. Kind of how people moaned like mad about Maradonas hand of god goal against us :D

But its perhaps too much to expect people to have morals, especially within a culture where cheating is so widely accepted. We should probably just all download aimbots and be done with it :D

We were in a 3 man squad a few days back, saw a full car followed by a full jeep, just figured they were in a chase. Came up slow behind them a few minutes later, spotted both teams parked up a good distance from each other so assumed they were about to engage. We engaged the team closest to us, both teams pushed us, dropped us and then lingered around looting our bodies together.

This is the internet, the same platform where kids are well known to scream and swear down 99p microphones, they have no morals :D

The saddest thing about that statement, is that being the case, its not a comment on them rather a comment on our generation because its us that raised them and should have taught them better !

Morals? It's a game where you go around with the intent of murdering people, morals don't come into it.

Please don't tell me that you're the guy who gets angry in FPS games for 'teabagging', calling it disrespectful :p

Of course I dont, nothing in doing that is negatively affecting the game, but cheating in a game? You're damn right I'm the guy who is against people cheating in a game. I will never be for it. And I will never be blase about it and I will never accept people cheating and I will never condone them cheating. The more people just accept cheats , the more cheats there will be. The very fact that so many online games are so rife with cheats is because a firm enough stance hasnt been taken on them. Once upon a time people were strongly against cheats in games in all forms, over time people have just taken a "well it happens" point of view and as such its happened more and more.

Maybe you are right though, maybe I am the stupid guy because I dont cheat in anything in life, its just not the way I conduct myself, game or no game.

I hate teabagging so much. It's rarely used correctly.

Example I've just punched down a guy who had a m16 his mate rocks up with a vector and sprays me down killing his mate in the process. That's not a teabag moment is it? :D

If I was the one with the gun and got punched out then yes teabag would be appropriate.

To be fair the reason so many cheats exist isn't the stance taken it's more that it's hard to combat effectively. The only real 99% solution is a whitelist process but that would be damaging to legit user experience. Same argument for effective DRM the only sure fire ways are harmful to those who are legitimate.

This is my question too.... Cant believe how mental people are getting about Duo's in solo.... How on earth do you get in the same server!!!

Its easy, you both click play at the exact same time and theres a high chance you will end up in the same lobby. We used to do it all the time in War Thunder just to get more than four of us in the same match. Worked about 60% of the time from what I can remember.

People are only doing it to get their win rate up, if they were that bothered about playing duos then they would use the handy duo button like everyone here does. it seems that the people who do it don't like the fact that they will then be up against other teams rather than solo players they can smash.

Thats true , but I dont so much mean the stance from companies, I mean more the stance from other gamers. I dont think its necessarily the companies who simply accept it but its the userbase itself who simply accept it. "Just one of those things" etc. I'm often amazed in my online wanderings at how many clans/guilds and so on actually know a member is cheating/exploiting but dont boot him from their group.

"Cheating" in games for most of the internet fraternity is more about aimbots and the like more than not following guidelines.

Devs could do things to help limit it:

*No vehicle sharing in solo
*No voice comms in solo
*Not allowing two people in same friends list on server

This will not just "go away" because gentleman drinking cups of tea talk about the rules.

Fair enough, its simply a case that I appear to be different to most of the internet fraternity then :) , for me I follow the rules set out by the company whose product I am playing, if they blatantly state that something is against the rules I dont do that thing and I view anyone who does as a cheat. It does seem that the crux of this is that what I consider cheating is considered acceptable by most people, I think thats where I am going wrong.

More is the pity imo. Its a shame that people who do follow the rules and plea with others to do likewise , are the ones frowned upon. But then again, I suppose thats the nature of things, its cool to be a rebel and uncool to be a square ;p
