PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

You've got a very similar spec to me. I can run at medium with a bit of slowdown but runs fine at low with medium draw distance and very low AA.

Just did my best solo attempt. Second with 5 kills, unusual for me to get more than 1 kill in a round! Hid in a bush near the end and people just ran past me.

I still get a vast number of kills by killing afkers. Killed 5 at the start of the last round.
 
I have done that a few times but this time was all proper kills, well apart from running someone over. Would have had 6 but force field got last hit on someone.

Can't think of anything more boring! Although now that it's known and more people are doing it, it might be a bit more exciting. But running round punching afker's to death - no ta.

Yeah I was thinking the same, killing players isn't the incentive anyway, it's firstly survival, and secondly their loot. The kill itself is almost irrelevant unless you are already in the top 10.

Yea. Usually avoid engagements until last 10-15 players unless I need loot. But I get that some players like having decent k/d's (and that's not a dig) but that side of things doesn't bother me. Each to their own and all that.
 
just had my second win in 230 games, pretty much cheesed it and hanged around inside a house until the last 5, took out 1 guy i was keeping an eye on in a nearby hut when he had to move, last guy died outside the zone.

Jeez, so basically, to enjoy good fps on new games, one has to have i7 cpu and the ddr4 generation of ram? Time to request a theoretical build on the forums. Only seems like yesterday when the forums suggested my current build.

Game isn't well optimised at the minute, it is being worked on and has improved but more improvements to come I believe. So don't be binning your pc just yet! I'm running a 1st i5 750 with an r9 380x and with a bit of tweaking it's very playable.
 
Still really enjoying it. I'm definitely more of a 'drop where nobody else is and remain undetected until the last 15' type of player if I can mange it.

Is there actually a solution through to not having foliage render in the far distance. It does feel a bit cheesy to just scan the horizon for dots and know that someone is about (I know it works both ways though). Obviously you 'could' render everything, but its not practical...
 
Its the big map that is the problem, graphics just look like half life 2 nothing special, cant wait for when we get bf1 graphics on big maps like this, guess thats still 10 years away.
 
The weirdest thing about the afkers, is that I've started writing their names down over the past few days and marking a tally next to each name, its often the same people doing it, one guy yesterday afked out of the plane 6 times during my play session. I've no idea what it is they get out of doing it?? Must be some reason for it, given that Im seeing the same people repeatedly.

maybe he's doing the same thing and has your name jotted down as many times too? :P
