PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

I'd say my crashes are in the single digits in the 130 hours I've played so far.

Then I had a CTD yesterday after a game, and it crashes on re-launch. My performance has been adversely affected since they added the anti-cheat protection in the .exe file recently, which I understand they've since patched out - only played a few games last night so couldn't really test it. But I do get mouse lag when using scopes now. Could this be to using FreeSync on my new monitor?

i must be making it up . what did you say westie ? :p also half those stats site dont work right or upto date. if you must you can check my twitter or feedback.im not supplying semen or blood though.:D

only thing i seen that is about right is ive had 72 wins.624 top tens.

That would make sense, as it only lists 5 wins on mine, yet I must be in double digits by now.

The AS server point stands though. I can't see why else you'd play so much on AS except for wanting the ping advantage?

as i explained before i play with my lot.old clan mates.we are from all nationalities.we play where ever we play.i dont really care eu na asia.asia is easier.if whoring care bp points its go asia smash some wins .

well i just figured out that 90% of the lag has been on my end and not the games. never had issues before with VM. I have 200 MB download and 12 MB upload. however ping spikes from the norm to over 800ms sometimes over 1000ms. it's a known issue with the SH3 and a restart is supposed to cure it however i restarted mine and the following day it was still spiking so i think it's also an area issue now. a restart is supposed to keep it fine for a couple of weeks.

however the game does have lag i've seen it hit me and the whole squad also got it too. they are using amazon servers so it's down to them or they don't have enough for the player base and they are being overloaded.

Only way you'll fix the spiking with a SH3 is by getting rid of it and using your old SH2 if you still have it. Otherwise you just have to put up with it until an undated firmware comes out which has been promised for over a year now. The issue is with the intel chip in the SH3. Personally I think it won't be sorted until they release a SH4

Yeah I'm fully aware of the sh3 being borked.

A reset every other week is supposed to fix it so it's more than the sh3 at play here.

I'm going to call them up at the weekend. Hopefully get a discount on the bill until it's sorted. It's been fine up until the past few weeks.

Think it's time to hang up my mouse.

Stats reset today, played a duo and my team mate died at the start; but I somehow got the win with 11 kills. The game now says I'm perfect

Made a quick vid from Shadowplay if anyone's interested, never used hip fire so much.

Got a Squad win this evening that may as well have been a solo squad win as my two mass died at the start. Managed to last through to the end and pull it off with 9 kills total. Playing on my new monitor (ViewSonic XG2703-GS) at 1440p has totally changed this game for me. At 1080p with my i5 2500k and GTX970 it really seemed to struggle to run, stuttering and locking up frequently and regularly.

Now, bizarrely, it seems near enough buttery smooth. Granted not all the settings are turned up, but still sitting around 80-90 fps with gsync has made this almost a new game for me. Everything is crystal clear and easier to spot and the gun handling seems much better - especially as it isn't locking up for whatever reason as soon as my first bullet is fired!! :D

Gutting loss in solo. 3 left Im running for a rock 1 guy behind it I duck behind a tree but he landed a few shots I'm half health I assume the guy is going for a nade so i peak and spray him down. I hear the nade land near me and assume the worst, it goes off and Im still alive for a brief second unfortunately it knocked me into the blue which killed me. My hands were already off the keyboard cause I thought I was dead anyway. :D:D

i got another crash yesterday. straight after my first game when going back to lobby.

PC runs every other game fine and even mines 24/7 when not gaming with zero issues.

I was in 3 minds when I got my new monitors. I was switching from 2 x dell IPS 24" panels to 2 x 27" panels one a dell TN 1440p 144hz it's the same one everyone bangs on about being the best can't remember the exact model number but it's something like sd271G or something. the other a cheapo benq 27" VA 60hz 1080p panel.

the benq panel is just awful when you have been used to dell IPS screens. the colours are way out of the norm out of the box. the dell wasn't as bad colour wise but it just seemed so washed out. as if you had taken a colour painting and ran it through a washing machine. the colours were dull, lifeless faded.

i then bought one of those calibrator gizmos downloaded displaycal set it all up attached the calibrator to the screen then let it do it's thing for 1 hour. it then created a profile which it auto applies every reboot.

the dell screen now is just fantastic. i wasn't sure if you could calibrate 2 screens with 2 different profiles on the same system so i just ended up using the benq as a troubleshooting monitor for my other rigs. i may try and see if I can calibrate it too and use it as a second screen. but i found when using dual screens i just had zero use for the second screen. you had to alt tab out to get the mouse to move over so why not just alt tab out and switch one the single screen?

unless you are a streamer dual screens is pretty pointless in gaming IMO. for work i however would never be without them but i just don't see a practical use in gaming unless you were stream sniping or watching videos on youtube after you died early and your squad continues on without you.

anyway my point was. everyone should calibrate their screens using a proper calibrator. it makes a HUGE difference. well worth the money.
