PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

i can promise you it would be no more a chore than some of the dead weights that i'vr had to suffer!!

seriously though fella, get yourself on to discord. if i can offer a bit of advice, i had a butchers at your stats and you seem to place relatively highly in games with relatively low damage/kills so i'm guessing there's a fair bit of camping, circle surfing (there's nothing wrong with that, i'm not having a pop) the problem with that though is your ranking is increasing but your 'gun play' is not. so you find yourself in gun fights with people who are far superior because they have had more practice. start dropping a bit hot (not red hot) get into fire fights, yea you'll die early but it will have a twofold effect. your gun play will improve but also your rank will come down a bit putting you in moe balanced games.
there's no point playing to a top 10 place every game knowing that you won't win cause you're going to get rinsed as soon as you get into combat.

also, and you i'm sure are aware of this - find a weapon combo you're happy with and learn the recoil pattern as best as you can. e.g. some people love the ak and can shoot out a mouses eye from 500m away, others hate it and couldn't burst a balloon 2 foot away (i'm in the latter bracket with most weapons!)
As you may notice I mostly play duos, with the same guy.
We don't tend to camp too much (we might spend 1 circle in a house healing up and planning our next move), but he doesn't like driving because of the noise (and I tend to get shot out of moving vehicles a lot as the passenger). So as a result we run to most circles, which means we spend most of our time running to circles and basically circle surfing as a result (not so much as an intent). I don't like being in the centre of the circle as when we've tried that we tend to get attacked from multiple sides and we're not good enough to deal with that, but I'd prefer to be in the next circle before the blue starts moving.
We did go through a phase of alternating between a hot drop for the very reason of getting practice in and attempting a safer drop. We started droping too hot though and figured we weren't gaining much losing the race for the nearest/only gun. So we moved it to places that were likely to be populated but not overly busy. Won some early exchanges and lost some early exchanges. We still do a bit, but probably not as regular now.
My friend is way more worried about stats than I am, mostly K/D, so I'm not sure he likes hot dropping too much because it can quite often result in dying without a kill.

My preferred combo is the same as a lot of people I would imagine. UMP9/Vector and DMR (except VSS). DMRs can be tricky to find, usually SMGs less so, although sometimes all I seem to find is ARs and shotguns. I struggle with ARs because of the recoil. I either tap slow enough that I can control it, which is too slow to get a kill or use auto and miss most shots because of recoil.

On a side note, seems Viss is not a fan of people camping (I like to think we're not this bad)...

the game is about survival being the last left alive. how people have fun is just different for everyone.play how you want.have fun . i would fall for the viss bait but its from a 1700 player. you start at 1700 by default.

What have they done? This game is an absolute mess. Saw shroud and DrDisrespect rage quit last night because of the desync issues and assumed it was just a bad night. Had a few games tonight and everyone is rubber banding all over the place. Peoples shots registering after I've gone in cover.

Uninstalled it again as it's just getting worse

I thought it was just me last night, only get time for a couple of games a week now and last night was horrific, still at least they've added a new set of crates :/

Doc moans but when you watch him enough you know when he’s being serious and not just moaning in character

Guys when i am dead, and then chouse to spectate, none of the spectate binds seem to work, i cant change anything like, follow cam, free cam, cam zoom, nothing changes.

I'm a mixture of the two. I much prefer getting into the circle as early as possible, to stay in the blue is often just a senseless waste of valuable meds and for what? Another 30 rounds of 556 that you oh so desperately need?

I prefer to play the game almost straight away rather than ensuring that I'm fully kitted out before moving, or ensuring that I've looted every house in the town.

Centre of the circle is good, but only if you have good cover. Otherwise you are just prone to being attacked from all sides and you'll never win. If you go to the centre, you need to hide, or at the very least be conservative about what fights you are picking.

I always survive longer in solos because of the above. In squads, people tend to want to pick more fights, which usually has inevitable results. I prefer to go for wins rather than kills.

Regarding the highlighted bit, I follow your logic and if the game used matchmaking as you'd expect that'd be the case. However looking at the stats on PUBG.op.gg it seems like every game has an average skill rating of 1700-1750. That's what I have in my games, that's what average is in Shroud's games, same in the Docs, same in Viss'. So it sort of looks like the average rating of game is always low 1700s.
If this is the case then increasing or decreasing your rating doesn't seem like it will affect the difficulty of your games (which you'd think it should).

Maybe I'm mis-reading it?

shrouds on a new account he is normally about high 1800s to 1900 per season not 1700.doc hasnt played that much but he is 1900 good win ratio. yours is just 1700. default is 1700.

the difference with being a low scoring stats player and being a good player is you will either have high kills or high win ratio.

grs just pulled off the best win in last game. last guy awm smashed grs too bits not in no cover bouncing side to side guy just has to literally breathe on him and grs fires a perfect headshot on the move ftw :D
