Will I be able to transfer old PS4 HDD stuff to PS4 pro, buuuut keep everything on the PS4 to use in a different room as a secondary console?

or rather, what would be the best way?

I have a 1TB hybrid in the ps4 but I am not too fussed leaving it in there and using stock ps4 pro HDD in the pro

Looking at it in that video I really do wonder how it's going to be cool and yet stay quite looks to be zero vents on it, certain games now make my ps4 sound like a turbo jet engine

They also have gotten much cheaper while everything else is more expensive. Also, some of the PC hardware has just gotten silly. Compare a Voodoo / Riva or whatever was at the top 15 years ago and look at any midrange-high end GPU. Consumer GPUs have increased in size about 5 times since then - gaming PCs are getting bigger, not smaller and also more expensive.

the voodoo 5 5500 was 9.5" in length. What's a 1080 these days, about 10.5"?

I agree on the cost of a 60fps 4k gaming pc, which is why consoles have no excuse really, I'd quite happily folk out £600/700 for a console that could provide me with 60fps @ 4k taking into account what a PC would cost to do the same, the hardware is out now to do it. Why are we only just getting a 1080p 60fps console which PC's where doing 5 years ago.
Again, prices.
Just had a quick look as my memory was vague and top end GPUs used to cost around £150 back then - now they're £600. Also as mentioned, consoles are now basically half price of what they used to be.

Back when, 5 years ago? top end cards have never been £150. in 2010 nvidia released the 580, msrp $500. in 2012 the 680 arrived and that too was $500. AMD had the 6970 in 2010, that was $380,. and the 7970 in early 2011 - that was $549.

What top end cards were £150?

Dont get me wrong, you have a point - the current crop of consoles do offer great value for money, but your memory of past PC component pricing is very very off.

Really glad i pre-ordered my pro last night as it looks like the first batch as all gone!

James 2 years ago I bought a 970 for £240 and 2 months ago I bought a 1070 for £390 and going way back I'm sure i've bought top end cards for £150 while consoles were around £300.

What makes you think that? I'd of thought pro wouldn't sell out tbh

Uncharted 4.

GTA 5, Which was good, but enjoyed it more on the pc.

The last of us remastered.

Infact i can only think of three games that were worth playing lol

Not all my personal favs and some are multiformat but not everyone has a stonking PC so I'll add the following:

Shadow of Mordor
Fallout 4
Witcher 3
Bloodbourne
MGS V
Drive Club (disaster on launch but really good now)

Basically there are a ton of great games, maybe not to your tastes but many have enjoyed commercial and critical success so I don't think it's fair for you to make such a claim.

I'm talking 16yrsand more ago here, ps2 was released in 2000 I think, even ps3 is now 10 years old.

We're talking how consoles used to be able to match pcs in the past. They could for the reasons ve mentioned but not anymore. you can't even pack a high end gpu in such small box anymore. IT'S not just size but power usage and heat output as well.
