Finally

Went to Currys, and asked them to price match to Tesco. £332.49. They only had a delivery of 2 units yesterday, one was already reserved.

Wow that looks amazing ....sleek and sexy

Has anyone had a decent deal with trading in a 500Gb PS4 against a Pro? I thought Game were doing a £175 and PS4 500Gb (Maybe a couple of games I cant remember) for a PS4 Pro but I cant seem to find it. Maybe it was just on launch.

I'm getting royally ****** off now.

Just installed infinity warfare and it has downloaded update 1.03. But it says nothing about ps pro. Everyone's saying they are playing it in 4K. How?

Anyone played Skyrim for a couple of hours on this? If it's a marked difference I'll get this, as I want to play the Last of Us @ 60FPS in anyway.

Eurogamer have and there are a few issues with performance for those playing on a 1080p screen.

So, while Skyrim Special Edition has a good stab at bringing the native 4K experience to consoles, the execution isn't quite flawless and it's actually Pro users with 1080p screens that get a raw deal - they get the exact same performance as the 4K users owing to the super-sampling implementation. The end result is that while it may only affects the game in certain scenarios, the bottom line is that Skyrim runs smoother on base PS4 hardware than it does on the Pro - and that's just not good enough.

Game gave my work mate £199 for his PS4 500Gb saying it matches CEX price, we looked and CEX would only give £165 max :D

His first Pro was faulty though would not boot past a warning screen, the second one lost sound when playing VR and took two boots to get back.

Took the plunge.

Had one reserved at Argos for £369.99 inc Dishonoured 2. Needed some shopping in so went to Sainsbury(Super Market), and low and behold they had a better deal. £349.99 for console and £10 for Dishonoured 2. Had £42.50 on my Nectar card so worked out okay, it would have been great if it was next Wednesday as you get double value of your nectar points upto £20, in other words I would have got £62.50 off! They only had 3 left, so didn't risk it, this thing better live up to what it says on the box. EVERY game will look great!

Will report back with info on VR and Skyrim/Dishonoured and others. VR stuff will be posted in VR thread, according to reports, just about every VR game is improved with the Pro, I shall see.

What is the performance increase on the pro vs the normal? would it be 10-20% or more?

Basically the GPU horsepower is 100% greater, extra ram for multi-tasking, and the RAM is faster.

In other words I reckon future games will have a 4k option @ 30FPS and 1080P upscaled @ 60FPS. They need to sort out some sort of standard.

Surely if they turned off the extra anti-aliasing in Skyrim everything would be good again? It seems reading that DF report that they are using super sampling for 1080p and then adding the same AA as the base version. And no need for AA at 4K really?

I doubt we'll ever get close to seeing what the Pro hardware can really do as it will always be held back by the PS4. I'm still getting one for future VR titles and the hope we start getting 1080p 60 fps.

Hi Fella,

Unfortunately they are offering a pittance everywhere at the moment. Around £100 :( They will give me decent money for my 2Tb Darth Vader SW: Battlefront console but I want to keep that.

I think that most devs have been pushed by Sony last minute for the patches. It will take developers few months before they know exactly which settings are best to use while right now they just blindly move the sliders.

Can't expect a 3 or 4 year old game that was designed for another system to run perfectly on day one with completely changed settings.

Dont know how true it is, but just been told by someone else who is an avid gamer to say the least, that being such a new game, COD: IW actually came with pro support on the disc, so it wont show up in patches. I imagine thats how it will all come from now on.

Just been playing the campaign and I have to say, it does look bloody spectacular!
