PlayStation 4 Pro in-bound

Didn't DF say some games run worse on the the PRO

If you look at fps counters it will show but in reality I have not noticed anything tbh.

I think the DF videos are a bit of hysteria, yes it's a few frames less but it's still over 55+ fps at worst and i dare say that a vast majority of people wouldn't notice it for a moment.

It's not the few frames that's the real problem though, what about screen tearing and stutters caused by not being in sync with the TV, that's the major annoyance.

So far I've only played D3 for 2hours and 20min of Paragon as I haven't got anything else. The first impressions of Diablo 3, even though apparently not patched for anything, are very good. I am not sure if it's the TV alone (Samsung 49KS8000) or the PS4 pro doing the magic but it definitely does seem to look better on this setup than maxed out @1200P on PC - and that was on ultrasharp 27" IPS dell so colours there are nothing to sniff at either. The upscaling seems to work very well and everything is very smooth and non pixelated (sitting at only 5-6 feet away from "49 screen I can't see any sharp edges and I have 20/12 vision). The colours look great and the atmosphere just feels so much better than PC (colours are rich but everything is dark but clear and visible, just as the game is supposed to look) + the game just seems to play better. No FPS drops or performance issues that some people have reported on normal PS4.

I will get last of us re-mastered tomorrow, play some on the weekend and do a full review.

Hey man, thinking of picking up the same TV end of the month, how you finding it, having you tried any UHD 4K Blurays on it too or just games so far?

Any cons on the TV, what do you think?

I have to wonder what kind of an impact Project Scorpio will have when it launches.
In all likelihood, it'll be substantially more powerful than the PS4 Pro, and will probably feature an UHD BD drive in light of the recent controversy surrounding the Pro.
I'd wager that many will jump ship if the price is right.

Why? Sony exclusives look amazing next year with Xbox exclusives going to PC. Plus it already has the installed user base and a huge lead.Your average casual gamer only wants AAA titles and what their mates have. I'll be buying Scorpio regardless as I need all the games!

This. The PS4/Pro is a also good companion to a PC, more so than Xbox. I personally want to play the PS4 exclusives, not so much the Xbox. Would get a Scorpio though if they have a game on it that's not on PC that is a must play.

Price of Scorpio could be a problem for me. If it's around the rumoured £500, we are in the territory of top cards like the 1080, which will probably be even cheaper by Scorpio release date. Im very sceptical that the Scorpio will be 1080 power. And seeing as nearly every Xbox exclusive makes it to the PC, I just think I might choose to spend the money on a 1080 instead.

This forum, is of course biased. So all you folk saying Xbox (Scorpio) exclusives are coming to the PC so why would anyone buy an Xbox are in the minority.

Yea, not sure why this is a defacto thing...I have a PC but never want to game on it.
Same goes for 90% of the console owners.

I'd rather play on my current Xbox and get a Scorpio when it comes out rather than upgrade my PC. I think exclusives going to PC only inpacts the hardcore market tbh
