PlayStation 4 Pro in-bound

Although the results from what I've seen on DF have been very hit and miss. Sadly some of the games a lot of people were hoping to fix got the least benefit.

Games like Bloodborne, Witcher 3.

The Witcher 3 is a bit of an exception as it started off badly but by the end of its life with plenty of patching it was practically rock solid 30fps. So nothing could be improved there unless CDPR took the 30fps cap off. Probably an easy thing to do surely? It buggers me how someone working at the said dev couldn't be passionate enough to do something like that in their own time if the company didn't allow it during working hours. I know I would. But I suppose there's the risk of the game breaking with every update (and a homework project couldn't possible have the same level of testing).

I am looking at getting another PS4 since my PC imploded.

I am torn between Slim and Pro.

I only have 1080p TV and while I know PS4 Pro does supersample some games and improves framerates on others is it REALLY worth getting the Pro if I'm ever only going to play in 1080p?

Ive caved in and ordered one. Been toying with the idea for a while and then saw Very were doing 10% off for first credit order.

So sold my old ps4 and xbox one today, as the xbox was just gathering dust (got £335 selling on facebook) and stuck an order in.

Delivering it on Tuesday for £318 and still got change for beer. Result.

Got my pro yesterday, 10% off first orders at very if anyones interested. I might be getting £20 cashback from quidco on top of that too. Ive only got ratchet and clank so far and that looks a lot sharper (normal ps4 also does hdr). Ive got ffxv due next week so that will be interesting. Im going to get uncharted when the dlc comes out or maybe wait and see if they do a goty edition.

Also am I right in thinking that set to 2160 rgb is correct and when hdr content is on it 'drops' to yuv 420?

Hey guys. So gonna pull the plug and get a pro. But I will be using my 1080p monitor. Does anyone here use the pro on the same setup? If so does it look fine and no problems with it? Cheers

Got mine yesterday. Wasn't working through the AV amp at first, I had soundbites no picture. Swapped to a new HDMI cable and all good. Horizon looks amazing, have to do some research and see which of my other games have pro patches.

It is quite noisy though,
