PlayStation 4 Pro in-bound

Amazon now has 20th as next lot of PS4 pro, oh well gives me time to find a decent 4K TV. I'm also considering the Samsung KS7000 but the Sony Bravia KD49XD7005 is just so much cheaper, and so far I'm not keeping a TV past two years. My 1080p panel I only got two years ago, my sweet spot for new TV's seems to be around £500 - £600 - anymore and I tend to hold back : - )

Yeah, I'm thinking I might just skip the 10-bit panel requirement and just get 4K in the house first. The games won't be going anywhere, I can always replay them in 5 years or so when 10-bit are £250 in Aldi. :D

There are better deals around for PS4 pro's than Amazon. Argos were doing a PS4 pro + Horizon Zero Dawn for £349 last week.

I wonder if my 2TB Samsung Spinpoint drive is packing in. Last two nights it's done a high-pitched chirp at a random time and today the system software crashed (which I've never seen before in three years). Games seem to run fine though. I guess I better get everything backed up on to my external drive. :(

Mine's been doing that for the last 12 months. It even does it while it's in standby.

So it's normal then?

yeah, it's not a nice noise but it didn't happen often (2 or 3 times a day) and mine still functioned normally in my pc until the day i replaced them 7 years later (nothing wrong with them i just wanted bigger drives)

ic1male, have you tried taking out and putting back in the drive on the pro? might not be seated on the connections properly? might help, might not lol no harm in trying

or it could be down to the pro doing things faster than the normal ps4 and the heads are parking more often because of that?

I have two of the 2tb spinpoint drives on beeps every now and again the other has never done it.... Both are a good couple of years old. The beeping has never affected the drive. It is a bit weird though.
