my psn sub will be running out mid November

Can I buy and apply the 365 day code now or do I have to wait until close to when it runs out - I don't want to lose the remaining weeks of my current sub....

Is there usually some sort of Autumn sale on PSN at all? Really getting back into my console gaming at the moment, and like not having to mess with discs, but PSN commands a heavy premium usually.

Does the PS4 play PS3 games by the way? Contemplating an upgrade in a few months...

CDKeys generally have the best price for it (got it for £32ish recently) - with a 5% discount code if you Like them on FB.

Driveclub releases worldwide in October, but does this mean we’re going to get one less free game for PS Plus during the month? The answer is “no,” according to Sony.

Driveclub PS Plus Edition is the stripped-out, free version that’s been long promised to PS Plus subscribers on PlayStation 4. The racer will be added to October’s regular free games offering, according to Sony Europe’s Fred Dutton.

The PS Plus Edition of Driveclub comes with 11 tracks, all based on one location, India. Ten cars will be yours to choose from, along with all the multiplayer modes.

There is always the chance things could be a little different for US subscribers, though it is very unlikely. We’ll update the story should SCEA decide differently.

Driveclub launches on PS4 October 7 in North America, October 8 in Europe, and October 10 in the UK.

They could change the date if they wanted to, it's not the law to release games on Fridays.

Exactly, I guess one advantage of getting a game slightly later is you can have enough time to read through reviews to help you decide.

It does make things easier behind-the-scenes though because all the logistics etc can be taken care of during the week rather than the weekend before. That's ultimately the reason Friday has stuck, along with providing an additional 'boost' of footfall into stores on an extra day (in addition to Monday when new DVD/BD/CDs are released).
