And Deus Ex Human Rvolution AND Dirt Showdown.

The free games on PS plus is an absolute pile of garbage and has been for quite some time. The fact that Grim Fandango is actually seen as a bit of a gem illustrates this perfectly.

Those are Xbox 360 titles on Games for gold. If we were to include the PS3 titles this year you would have Mass Effect 2, Crysis 3 and Metro last light spring to mind.

We get some free games with both services, If I get a game I like on it then it's a bonus. You really need to chill out, it seems you simply want to cause arguments and antagonize people with the wording you choose. So let's end this here. Do not reply to this post or start a console war on this thread.

If quantity is all you care about, then PS+ also offered you MOH Warfighter and DA: Origins (PS3) AND Legends of War Patton and the puzzle platformer Nihilumbra (Vita)

I'm pretty sure Dirt Showdown and Deus Ex are old enough that they were free games on PS3 when the last gen was still the current gen.

Looking back at the list of xbox free games, I'm not sure what you feel like you're missing out on?
 
At the end of the day it's a service that costs ~£3 a month and gives you access to 6 games across 3 platforms.

So on PS4 there's a brand new game this month (admittedly of yet unknown quality), and one of the greatest adventure games of all time. I'd take this over Dirt Showdown...
 
Both services give the odd decent game, looking at the lists I don't find them much different, Im sure both will offer a better selection over time for those who just want AAA titles.

Personally Ive never played Grim Fandango so for me its a great month.

Yes, its not a lot each month. And Dirt Showdown is a dreadful game when codemasters were just throwing out any old garbage.

No one seemed to complain as much previous gen when Microsoft seemed very happy to charge just to play online and nothing much else.

i'm sorry but the moaning and mud slinging in this thread is just embarrassing and shows what a bunch of self entitled crowd "some" console games players really are.

The fee for PS4 is primarily to play online - Sony made this clear when the PS4 launched, and the games for PS4 are part of the service as long as you pay your fee to play online. VITA and PS3 are not part of the online free, these games are for subscribing to the service, PS+ is a two part service.

And I've said it before, and I'll say it again for the bunch that seem to have short memories or selective fanboyism - live followed Sony with the games for GOLD so if Sony hadn't started all this games as part of a subscription service - you really think MS would have changed their LIVE service to including monthly games? No, I don't think so.

Grim Fandango is excellent. Very tricky puzzles, and really hard to work out the solutions, hours of fun. Most will enjoy the PS+ games this month.
 
Yeah don't get the complaining myself, nowadays it's known you pay for playing online with games tacked on the side as a sweetener It was even said by Sony that it's the main aspect of it nowadays in a round about way.

I think my last PS+ cost me £32 that's what £2.67 per month for the online side with normally games costing £5-10+ given to me. In the end no it's not the same as what the PS3 used to be and to be honest it probably will never be that good again. If it is then that's a big bonus but otherwise it's still a decent service.
 
Both services have their good and bad months. I'm not sure which one I'd rate higher for the games we get, but considering the cost is roughly £6 a month in total, all it takes is 2-3 good games a year to make it worth the cost, and we definitely all get that.
 
I bought the PS anniversary steelbook from GAME. it was £45 (then went to £49) gives you a year subscription and £20 PS wallet top up. seems like a good way to extend the sub and get a bit of money towards the games that cost

Point being those are 360 titles that are playable on the One. GWG every future game will be BC as well, which is nice.

I've had a PS4 for nearly a year now and i'm waiting for them to improve the offerings before I actually buy a sub. I get the feeling i'll be waiting a while, bearing in mind I don't game online (either One or PS4).

I agree with this. I don't really care for the ps + games each month, if somethings good then it's a bonus for me. I much rather the online stability of the service improves and personally I think it has a lot since Sony started charging for online.

Of course, us PS3 PS+ owners had Deus Ex back in July 2012. We didn't have DIRT, but did have GRID 2 back in November 2013.

GWG isn't so much better, it's just 2-3 years behind.

I'm not sure what you think you're entitled to for your hugely generous £3andalittlebit a month? BLOPS 3? Battlefront? Fallout 4? If you can't find £40 of value in the last year of PS+, I honestly doubt you actually enjoy gaming.

Who plays PS3 anymore?! Those games are on X1, so GWG is giving 4 games per month which are better than the 2 Plus offerings. And Gold is cheaper than Plus! Get a grip on reality!

It's called an opinion. Yours is pretty obvious, there's no need to get all fanboy-ish about it.
 
I have Gold and PS+ and there have been some decent games on each.

This month on Gold its thief which tbh is ****. Grim Fandango is a masterpiece and by far the better offerng this month for me.

Next month it might be a live game that is better for me who knows.
