Playstation Plus

If Microsoft keep giving decent games though, then PS4 might have it's hand forced into doing something. Guess we will find out soon.

I can't see either Sony or Microsoft losing console sales based on which "free" games they are giving out month on end. Each month we know what we are getting from both platforms, either an indie title only worth a couple of quid in the first place, or a much older AAA title that has either already had several sequels, or is a cross gen game/remaster. The offerings from both sides are poor, so much so that there are many months where I don't even bother adding the games to my basket for future download.

The only reason Sony have made PlayStation Plus mandatory for online play is because there is literally no reason not to. The competition are doing it, Microsoft were never about to lose all those subscriptions so its just lost revenue for the sake of it, it was always going to happen at some point and the launch of the PlayStation 4 just gave Sony an excuse to implement it.

Well to me I really am not to bothered, if you read up on my other posts about this same subject the games are a bonus. I pay for the online play, if i didn't need that then I wouldn't have PS+. I only ended getting it on the PS3 in the end as the games that were coming out were really good near the end of it's lifespan.

It's simple though with Microsoft and Playstation continuously trying to outdo one another that it will be getting talked about and people do voice their opinions. If Microsoft keep bringing out good games though, doesn't matter if they are old or not then if Playstation doesn't follow suit then the user base will start shouting out about it and then it's up to them to do the same or to just keep letting them do it.

Hence my we will see comment! ;)

It should be illegal for them to charge for multiplayer access if a title is peer to peer baffles me how they get away with it.
ALso every ps plus game you have access to you should have access to with or without ps+ as long as you had ps+ at the time the game was free on ps+.

Think you're being rather unrealistic here. You're still using their network and their services when you're online, and that's what you're paying for.

How ? If i'm playing a game that has nothing to do with sony servers and has it's own servers paid for by someone else such as sfv

If it wasn't using Sony servers at some point you wouldn't be signed into to begin with.

If PSN goes down, online gaming goes down. That should tell you all you need to know about the role of their network in the whole thing.

Here’s your full line-up of games for next month, launching on 5th April:

Dead Star (PS4)
Zombi (PS4)
I Am Alive (PS3)
Savage Moon (PS3)
A Virus Named Tom (PS Vita)
Shutshimi (PS Vita)

PS+ games available on 5th of April:

Dead Star (PS4), Zombi (PS4)
I Am Alive (PS3), Savage Moon (PS3)
A Virus Named Tom (PS Vita) & Shutshimi (PS Vita)

I aired my frustrations re dead star in a previous post.

Zombi, I can't moan too much, its a first person zombi game, so its a new type of genre to what we've previously had. Not my cup of tea, but it's better than recent months.

Xbox live flexing their muscles and putting PSN to shame re giveaways

war thunder runs fine when sony servers go down iirc.

so it is possible.

the main thing is psn plus is only £30 a year (cdkeys). which is £2.50 a month. for that you get what 3-5 games per month plus online play.

you can't buy a orange juice in some places for £2.50.

that and they should drop PS3 and Vita games to concentrate more on PS4 titles..
Am guessing you don't own a PS Vita..
As would hate to see them drop the Free Vita games from PS+

And am sure people that only own a PS3 that have PS+ would not like to see PS3 games being dropped..

+1. I also own a Vita and PS3 and wouldn't be happy if they stopped the games.
