Playstation Plus

PS Plus is pretty damn awesome. I mean I only tend to like about 30% of the games released but still - there have been so many games I wanted to play as filler games but wouldn't purchase so it's ideal.

It was worth it just for PS3 but now with Vita it's a steal.

As said by others though - I know feel very very skeptical about purchasing games now unless I really really have to play it ASAP.
The last straw for me was Guardians of Middle Earth which I was on the fence over but a friend bought it so I jumped in. £12 then the following week it was announced that it will come to Plus.

Pleased about Wipeout 2048 as I loved that game but after getting very far towards the Plat trophy and doing all the hard stuff. (just multiplayer to go) the game bugged out on me and would not load at all on my system. Just got to the start menu then nothing happened.
I tried it on friends Vita and it worked fine so I sold it on and buyer confirmed it worked for them OK.

So thankfully I can now get to finishing this off and playing it some more for free.

I'm also hoping Demon's Souls is going up soon as it's now added to the PSN. I got the Plat on this on my old account but would love to go through it again on new account

Haha what timing I just started playing mass effect 3 last weekend, however I bought it on its release day last year...

Will finally get round to trying a metal gear solid game.

I swear they're reading my mind :p while I own most of the other games, DoA 5 was next on my buy list - score!

I was thinking the same, DOA5 amazing, I have played ME 1 & 2 hadn't bought three, now booooom :D and the icing on the ****in cake, the Metal Gear HD collection!!!!

You would need to be a complete idiot not to get PS+ at this stage.
Every week they seem to out do themselves.

I have a terrible habit of buying the Vita games just before they get put on plus. I swear Im not buying anything else!

Yeah I keep telling myself that for both platforms, but I still keep buying them and they still keep appearing on PS+ :p I'm seriously running out of HDD space now though. Got about 2GB free so should really invest in a larger disk soon.

also i need to disagree here, i think you would need to be a complete idiot to get PS+ at this stage because the ps3 lifecycle is coming to an end soon, you have already missed a lot of the good games, sleeping dogs, red dead, etc, etc. also you do not know if it can be carried over to the ps4.

i will be relegating my ps3 into a blu ray player for the living room when my ps4 arrives, no intention of gaming on it ever again when the ps4 arrives, therefore the catalogue could become useless if it cannot be used on ps4.

i dont have enough space for both consoles.

therefore if you dont have ps+ and never have, your better off waiting for the ps4 now before getting it, unless it has been confirmed it will be carried over.

I fully intend to carry on with PS+ after the PS4 is released, not gonna jump ship til both next gen consoles are out and even then Ill wait til theres at least more than 5 great games on it. Plenty of life in PS+ though Im hoping before my sub runs out they announce how theyll support it post-PS4 on the PS3.

For people still in 2 minds about it, its an easy decision IMO, if you dont have this months games they easily work out to be more than the yearly sub so why wouldnt you even if that sub only works out to last til the PS4 comes out and thats not even considering what they might release on PS+ by then.

ps3ud0

I disagree.

We still at least 8 months (more than likely 12) till the release of the PS4. That's a year of AAA PS3 games each month until the PS4 is released. Even when it is I doubt most people will be packing in their PS3 considering the PS4 isn't backwards compatible.

The only game I've bought in the last year is Ni No Kuni.

I think PSN+ is worth a lot more than £40 TBH.

Better late than never

PlayStation Plus: Your March content

Hi everyone! It’s that time of the month again where we update you on all the new PlayStation Plus updates coming your way in March.
There are three new PS3 game and two for PS Vita in the line-up for March, as well as awesome titles such as F1 Race Stars, Quantum Conundrum and Wipeout 2048 that are already available.
Coming soon on PlayStation 3
We are very happy to announce that as of 6th March, for one month only, you can download acclaimed action RPG Mass Effect 3 as part of your PlayStation Plus subscription!
Developed by the very talented team at Bioware, this title completes the franchise in stunning form. The game plunges you into an all-out galactic war to take back earth from a terrifying enemy. It’s truly a first class RPG experience so make sure you check it out.
And if that’s not enough Mass Effect action for you, we’ve teamed up with our friends at publisher EA to offer great discounts on both Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3, for both Plus members and standard users. We’ll confirm details shortly.

Also dropping into the service on 6th March is the beautifully designed fighter Dead or Alive 5 from Tecmo Koei.
Featuring a range of game modes, the game picks up two years after the destruction of the tri- tower – headquarters and symbol of DOATEC. Helena Douglas has begun the task of rebuilding DOATEC, this time with the aim of using its technology for peaceful ends. Now in the same position once held by her father, Helena has announced that she intends to hold the fifth Dead or Alive tournament.

Your final PS3 offering for the month is the incredibly fun Joe Danger 2: The Movie. Picking up where the chart-topping, award-winning original left off, JD2 takes the world’s most determined stuntman to Hollywood. You’ll have to out run an avalanche as a skiing secret agent, take on laser spewing robots whilst flying a jetpack, or even become a water-skiing, sky-diving, quad-biking, dinosaur-dodging jungle adventurer.

Coming soon on PS Vita
First up for PS Vita on 13th March is Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. Bundling together the second and third games in Hideo Kojima’s beloved series, this is surely the definitive handheld Metal Gear experience, boasting well over 30 hours of gameplay.

And last but certainly not least, on 20th March addictive puzzle platform title Puddle will join the PS Vita service. Conserve as much liquid as possible when crossing a variety of obstacles such as burning passageways, carnivorous plants and electric currents as you guide a puddle of fluid through 49 levels using the system’s rear touch pad and tilt functionality.
