I'm not downloading it for a third time so will give up and use the disc for now..

Good to see I'm not the only one having issues with uncharted 3 install. Have just started the last chapter of MGS so was hoping to have this ready on completion.

I will don my tinfoil hat and say the dodgy uncharted 3 download was intentional. The idea of playing this has strengthened my willpower not to get the Last of Us.....but now it's not working I might be tempted.

My brother used to work for hmv so getting games on launch was relatively cheap so when they went bust I vowed to be patient with new releases and finish my back catalogue.

I figure Last of Us will drop in price dramatically in a few weeks so will try and hold out.

If they didn't want people to play the game, they would have just kept it off the service in the first place.

Ok seems they've removed the 12GB singleplayer download and replaced it with the new one that weighs in at 33.9GB ... !!!

I jest.....I'm just clutching at straws for a reason not to take a walk tomorrow and get last of us. Will start the bigger download for uncharted 3 this afternoon and should be done for tomorrow then no excuses! With the announcement of vow ps4 I have vowed to only have one game at a time over the summer to give myself a chance to finish them.

Finish the last part of mgs, bash through uncharted 3 and then wait to see next months offering or pick up LoU when it's reduced.

OMG lol will take 3 days to download at PSN speeds, will give it a miss I played it at release anyway just fancied another run through.

There is now 3 files it downloads

Single player game

2D movies pack

3D movies pack

Seems you cannot skip the 3D movies if you only want 2D and have to download the lot..

Actually might have to DL this after all - did not have a 3D TV first time around, and interesting to see how it looks in 3D

Luckily im off to dublin for the weekend - might have the three new ps plus games and the last of us downloaded by the time i get home on sunday! (4mb internet)

Doesn't the PS4 let you play after a certain amount has been downloaded though? Letting you play the game before it has completed a la WoW?

I think it will be awhile before we see 50GB games yet but yeah that 500GB HDD will fill up pretty quickly.

It'll be like my PC is now. When I want to install something I have to uninstall something first!

I've already deleted the download, and now i'm downloading again.

But it's still the 12gb version?

Uncharted 3 is frustrating me, says I need 33gb (I've got 35gb) then claims I haven't got enough space....googling suggests I need 87gb free? Anyone have a definitive answer?

You need twice the download size at least.

You don't need twice the download size but you have to keep a certain amount free. I think it's about 10gb, probably so that you can never not be able to update the console or any games. I've not been allowed to download a game with just enough space before but have with less than double. Saying that, all games could be different.

You need extra as it downloads then installs replacing the downloaded files as they are installed. Usually an extra 10GB spare is enough.

just subbed to PS Plus (3 months for a starter) - I'm amazed at what is available for "free" so to speak

I guess your effectively renting the games like you do with Spotify etc - but if your membership lapses, and you re-subscribe do you get access back to your previous old games ?
