When making a US account and buying games are they bound to the console or account?
ie do I need to keep swapping accounts?

Both. You can play anything downloaded on all accounts on the same console.

After the big PSN outage in 2012 everyone got a free month, IIRC.

So if everyone got a free month....then a magazine deal which gives u a month on the condition you didnt use the free one given to *everyone* in 2012 doesnt seem so great hrmmmmm.....

Logic dictates that if you used a trial already, you know what PS+ is so why do you need another one? Except for being a cheeky beggar. So it's for brand new users.

I think you could choose two out of five games and have 30 days of PS+.

is damn billing information really needed, even if i redeem PS+ 12 digit code on my PS3 console?

You cant use a non-US credit card, I suspect the same with Paypal as well - you have to use US PSN cards which last time I looked arent that discounted.

I dont know why you decided not to get a UK/EU PSN account as to make best use of a US PSN account youll need to buy US games to allow you to use US DLC...
