Playstation Plus

well whilst i was downloading it i read a review online and it pretty much slated the game.

it's all about finding batteries and hiding under or inside things whilst someone slowly wanders about until they go away.

they also said it's extremely repetitive especially the finding batteries part as well as the hiding part.

they also said if you took all the repetitiveness out there was only 2 unique scenes in the whole game.

I have played quite a bit and it is a pretty boring game. Would agree with the above tbh.

In regards to PS Plus, it isn't working properly for auto updates is it?

If i stick my console in standby and an update comes out it won't start to download it, but if i switch it on it will and then if I stick it in standby it will continue the download.

Do Sony know about this bug yet?

Standby mode is useless atm, imo.

Works pretty much all the time when Ive checked the downloads list - seems to update at like 5am when it does it for me...

that's how it used to work on my ps3, it would update automatically if it found an update. on ps4 nothing, no updates unless i turn it on manually.

i noticed this because i had 3 updates to do at one time and thought no way did they all just get released right now, console had been in standby all night.

outlast is epic :D
scary as hell.... im about half way through it or a little bit more, its really good....
the sound effects are fantastic infact for a free game its epic....

if you like REC or the Blarewitch project movies you will love it :D

graphics are pretty good aswell.... just remember to play the game in the dark with the sound turned up and you pretty much get sucked in right from the start, dont forget to have the toilet near by :D

Likewise, standby function not working properly is a touch annoying esp with rural BB when it would be great to have it start downloading and installing updates while I'm asleep or at work, leaving my FREE TIME for gaming rather than it downloading all afternoon and evening

Outlast After 1 hour of playtime have not gotten scared ONCE. Playing on headphones in pitch black room.
Game is boring GFX is crappy.

Its like playing paranormal activity ----> And that movie sucked balls.

i think it could be that in standby mode the console does a check once every 24 hours for updates rather than checking constantly for them, so if your console checked at say 9pm and updates came out at 2am, 6am and 10am you would miss them all until 9pm when it checks again or if you turned the console on at 3pm it would then start downloading them and then your left wondering wtf where you actually doing in standby.

on the ps3 you could select when it searched for updates so i set it to when i would be sleeping but still early in the morning around 6am iirc so i had a greater chance of not missing any overnight updates.

whereas with their being a proper standby mode on the ps4, they need to change the system so the PS4 checks say once every 3 or 4 hours or thereabouts.

otherwise there is no point in it unless they give us the old system back where we can manually tell it to check at a specific time like we had on ps3.

So to re-cap, whats the Plus games freebies for this month? I have a Vita and a PS3, so looking for them specifically, before I sign up for the year

Really enjoy playing Dynasty Warriors Next. One of the first games I bought when I got the Vita, after someone at home got a Vita, which kind of persuaded me to purchase my own machine

Playing through Persona 4 from time to time. Thinking I might go for the annual subscription, even if I only used the Vita for the games
