***** PlayStation Vita Official Thread *****

Has anyone tried the AR stuff yet? I tried the Football one but couldn't get the ball to lob over one player to the other in the tutorial. Looked very cool though. Had the pitch laid out on the Macbook Air keyboard :D

Another iOS port on Vita then :D

Some screens of the Diving and the Fireworks. I imagine kids will love both.

Also for anyone scouring the boards, there was a tweet that went up about MGS HD and ZOE HD not being released because of poor Vita sales. It's a dumy account and has already been debunked. Just in case anyone got a panic on!

Fifa is weird it seems to activate the game to one Vita at a time, use it in another vita and you need to wipe your saved data.

Only if you want to use a different account I think. I think every game that saves the game data to the card is the same. Fifa is just one of those titles.

Yeah was same for UvC3.

Was just thinking if theres a possibility of seeing Mass Effect, Fallout or TES game on the Vita?, would really be awesome

My missus seems to be looking at uncharted a little too much. I swear I heard a comment last night of "this could be a game I like...".

Well my next 2 purchases are Disgea and Mortal Kombat, so a bit of a break until then!

Technically there is no reason why not. If we are getting Assassins Creed, COD and Bioshock there is little that suggest we couldn't get every other multiplatform release. The only question is will they be direct ports of the PS360 versions released at the same time, or different games entirely.

I hope there not direct ports, I have a 360 for gaming on the big TV.

I want to play portable games, or games designed for the vita. It would just be plain lazy of devs to port it directly over to the vita. No change there then really, been happening for years.

The problem is I'd actually like to see both.

Uncharted: GA is a great example of an existing franchise tailored for a portable experience. It's in short chunks and is less about massive set pieces than the console version.

On the flip side, Motorstorm RC is just one game that is identical to the PS3 version apart from a few extra effects on the PS3 and quad screen multiplayer.

MLB 12 is also the same game on PS3 and the Vita, the only difference being that the Vita version has all the long winded stuff taken out to make it faster to play. You'll be able to swap your saves over to play that at home and on the train.

Similarly, if Fifa 13 comes out and as they hope, it has cross platform multiplayer/saves, it would probably be very popular. Being able to take the same game on the road is a great idea.

I can see why people would want similar from things like GTA or Batman or AssCreed for example. Don't stop playing the game just because you're going to your in-laws, just upload the save and carry right on. It's not even just about going out with it. When my wife comes home she wants to watch some crappy TV but I don't want to go into a different room to play a game. Being able to pick right up while she watches god knows what will be fantastic.

As I said, I can see both sides of the coin. In the past portable versions have always had to be different because of the gimped controls.

The problem 'I' have with this is I don't own a PS3, and with the rumors floating round of next gen I am scared to spend 150 and upwards buying one.

Would this also mean buying two copies of the game or if it was bought for the PS3 would it be free to use on the VITA? Or a discounted rate?

Also means I would have to spend a fortune on getting a PS3 pad converted to a 360 pad.

If it goes that route, I think it would be worth me either selling or buying a PS3. Shall wait and see what happens.

Wheres the best place to get a 32gb Mem card ? I checked Planet Axel but it doesn't look like they have any in stock now :(

Another week and Vita still doing terrible in Japan, Sony really need to do something about it soon otherwise dev's are going to be switching their games to 3DS.

There were no Vita games in the top 20 chart either.

Problem with Japan as far as i can see the Vita has no games that appeal to the japanese market imo all the launch games are more aim to the Western market.

Till it gets a good few JRPGs and the quirky games japan is known for i cant see it picking up over there.

However i think the Vita is awesome :D

Some good points raised by DBT85 & Begbie there.

Although DB, games are quite large in file size on the PS3, so those on the Vita Memory card approach will be spending a lot of dollar if it's like that.

Begbie, I think Sony will do a bundled package with it costing 1/3> of the price more.

Be nice to see either way.
