Fifa is awesome on vita, i love it. I got fifa 11 and 10 on xbox and got bored of it pretty quick, but on vita its amazing. I'm addicted to it :P Not put wipeout uncharted or rayman back in since my first few hours on them. Touchscreen is amazing on fifa and for some reason I love going for all the trophies.
 
Are gamesaves on cross play titles saved to the cloud by default? I have Motorstorm RC and Hustle Kings and am just wondering how this works. I seem to recall reading words to the effect of "start playing on PS3 and continue on VITA" etc. My PS3 Hustle Kings has loads of stuff completed but the Vita version seems like I have to unlock stuff again. With Motorstorm it was the opposite as times and tracks I unlocked seemed available on the Vita without me doing anything special on the PS3.

Those game are indeed large on the PS3 and 360, but a chunk of that is FMV that could be rendered in engine like all the cutscenes in Uncharted: GA, plus, with a smaller screen and lower resolution they can cheap out of the textures somewhat and save space that way also.

Also don't forget that you don't have to keep every game you buy on your Vita at the same time. Who really needs, for example, Batman, AssCreed, Final Fantasy, COD, Bioshock on the machine at the same time?

I'd also fully expect to see 128GB cards as a minimum before the generation is over.

From their point of view, it incentivises you to own a PS3 AND a Vita so that you can play these games on both. You can still play on one platform if you only own one, and you may only play on one even if you own both. But the option is key.

If you own a PS3, a 360 and a Vita and a game like GTA5/AC3/Batman3 came out on all three, exactly the same, but the version with both the PS3 & Vita copies in costs you say £15 extra, which one are you more likely to choose? Even if the answer is still just 360, or PS3, or Vita, it gave you the choice.

Honestly I think they would have liked more. The PSP did 185,000 in its first 3 days in th e UK and the Vita only did maybe 50% more across the whole of the EU. Now admittedly there was massive hype for the PSP and everyone knew about it. The amount of people that DO know about the Vita you can probably count on the hairs on your head.

The blame for that lies solely at Sony's door though, they went with a blitz marketing campaign the week before launch and it wasn't enough. The hope is that, as many of us have found, people show the device to friends and family and that puts the word about. Actually using it is probably the best advert there is.

If a price cut happens then yes. But Sony are historically pretty damned stubborn when it comes to price. I'm still not expecting anything before December personally.

The screen plastic is quite tough. One video on youtube sees a guy smashing a Vita with a sledge hammer and even then he has to pick the screen off and apply considerable pressure to get it to snap.

I'm not particularly concerned about the back as I don't look at that, but the screen I do have protectors for, I just never applied it as I forgot to take them to work where the alcohol was to clean it. Since I''m getting a replacement that was a good idea!

Have you got/played Uncharted: GA? How do the shooting controls compare? I suck major scrotum when it comes to shooters on consoles but Unit 13 does look fun from the videos.

Not sure, I've only got Motorstorm and I've not played it on the PS3 yet!

With games like MLB12 I know that you pick a "save to the cloud" option rather than just the normal save. Then when you load the game on the other console you select "load from cloud". Also it was confirmed that for MLB12 at least you do not need to be a PS+ member to make use of the cloud storage for that feature.
 
Must admit I'm still tempted by the Vita.
What is the best price at the minute for a decent bundle including a decent size memory card?

The biggest cards in a bundle are 8GB I think, Amazon are still doing the WiFi + 8GB + one of Fifa/Rayman/Lumines/Virtua Tennis 4/Michael Jackson/Dungeon Hunter/Asphalt Injection for £232. RRP for that lot is a max of £305.

On my 8GB card I had, Wipeout 2048, Escape Plan, Super Stardust, Motorstorm RC, Fifa Demo (1.5GB!) 1GB of videos, about 30 screenshots, with a little room to spare. I bit the bullet and paid £65 for a 32GB card though so now I'm carefree, windswept and interesting.

its a shame if you owned a copy of a psp game like god of war chains of Olympus you couldn't download it to your vita for free instead of having to buy it again.

I've rented it from lovefilm it's really good mate, pretty much like the PS3 & 360.
 
For anyone looking for some cool backgrounds, magicaltrevor on NeoGAF has produced some nice ones and also released the template for others to create their own using his side bar.

All the images in this post are taken form My vita using the following artwork. Each one has 6+ images with different backgrounds.
