***** PlayStation Vita Official Thread *****

My 32GB card has not arrived yet :( Gutted as I ordered and had shipping confirmation the same time as other people on this forum who have theirs now. There is no other place to get them from, cheaply, so I think I just have to wait 25 days (4 more days left) and then make a claim, ask for a replacement and wait for ages :(

I hope mine doesn't get lost like yours. I had to make do with a 4gb card as none of the 16gb cards were available when I went to buy my vita, even my fully paid for preordered vita wasn't available when I went to pick it up, but thats a story for another day. I figured I may as well get a 32gb since I already have a card to tide me over for a while.

I also ordered one of the 4gamers cases(the smaller velcro version, not the zipper one) from the rainforest as I needed something to stop it getting scratched and I have no need for a hardcase.

Played a little bit of Stardust today. I only ever had the PS3 version so some of the differences I have noticed may have come over from the PSP version.

I only seem to have Fire and Ice weapons :( I think I have completed the 1st world on Arcade and single planet mode and only get Fire and Ice. Will I get more weapons (and corresponding enemy types) later on?

Also the weapon upgrades take a very long to cycle, compared to the PS3 version. I have to wait ages for a Ice upgrade to turn to Fire, I am sure I have seen some powerups cycle but hard to tell.

No, they stripped out one of the weapons, so it's just a toggle between the two now. It's certainly an easier game than the PS3 one. I was never that good on the PS3 version, but I'm only missing one trophy from the Starfighter Pack on the Vita.

Had a look at the PS3 one again the other day, and noticed that some of the asteroids on the PS3 have a much more off-center point of rotation than on the Vita, making them a bit more dangerous with how they move

For anyone who has the 3G model. A member on NeoGAF just switched over from his Vodafone sim to the Dida Mobile ones (3gb a month, 6 months, £29 total from eBay) and it's working fine and he got downloads of 4.4MBbps. My best Voda speed has been 2.1Mbps.

EDIT: There is a patch out for Motorstorm. It improves the syncing of data between the PS3 and Vita versions and a couple of minor bits.

Incredibly I've downloaded it on the Vita while doing other things, on the PS3 you can't do anything else while it downloads just like every other patch!

The vita operating system is better than the PS3 one, it's known, the PS3 doesn't even have party chat which is shocking.

wonder if sony will lift the 20mb download cap per file.At the moment i'm finding it hard to use up my 1gb for the month

I don't think it's Sony mate, it'll be the network providers I'd imagine. My iPhone won't download more than 20mb over 3G either.

I REALLY HOPE the Ps Vita is not hacked, I really do think it has a good future and i am really enjoying things.

I must admit it does feel a little restrictive in terms of linking it to the PC and copy files etc but overall its a gaming unit and im very impressed.

I hope to complete U charted soon. :D

Recommendation Please
What game offers good quick fun, something i can login for 5-10minutes and have a game. Something other than Football?

So, interestingly, what with Namco producing games for the new iPad and already a lot of big name developers producing exclusive titles for iOS (Epic, EA)... AND the fact the ipad is now graphically on the same level as the Vita - are we going to see a lot of iOS ports to the Vita (as iOS will be the lead platform)? I would imagine producing for iOS is going to be far more profitable for developers than the Vita, so this could be quite a blow to it's support.

No, why would iOS be the lead platform? better to do the game proper then dumb it down for touchscreen only controls.

Funny thing is in the iPad 3 thread nobody is comparing it to Vita, seems you just feel the need to do so for some reason, bizarre really.
