***** PlayStation Vita Official Thread *****

I can't believe how poor mortal kombat looks, this has clearly been rushed out. I find it annoying looking at the nice cutscenes from PS3/360 then cutting to PSP style graphics. Other than that the game play is still good.

I hope metal gear solid hd collection is on par with the PS3 version, fingers crossed they've kept everything at 60fps.

I think people expected too much from graphics on the Vita version due to the power of the console.

To me the graphics are fine, it still a handheld gaming device and not a powerful home console like the PS3 or 360. Plus dropping the graphics abit to maintain full 60 frames is crucial for a fighting game in my opinion.

Its still fairly early days though. It normally takes companys a while to get used to systems before graphics are ramped up to the limit.

Look at the ps3 release day games compared to ones that are released now. They have got a lot better. It happens with every console. I don't see why the PS vita should be an exception....

Golden Abyss got a patch with one key change.

1.02
Uncharted: Golden Abyss
Black Market Trade Frequency Increased
Black Market Menu Changes
Difficulty Tuning For Crushing Mode
Stats will no longer Reset
Network will no longer be disconnected during gameplay
Improved Trophy Verification

Really fancy graphics will mean using more power. On the consoles (360 and PS3) that meant fans ramping up more, initially. On the Vita it will inevitably mean less battery. I think Uncharted already hammers the battery more than most other games and it is not even using the VITA's native res (iirc).

Getting bored waiting for new apps or games or firmware/functions tbh. I am bored of the games I bought at launch. As I already bought what I liked I want new content, not convincing to buy more of the release titles!!

You dont need 60fps really. Mortal Kombat and Street fighter on the SNES were the pinacle of fighting games and they didnt run at 60fps and they were practically perfect in every way. I dont see why they couldnt drop the frames lower and increased the character fidelity. It would still have been smooth for sure

oh and still no PSONE SUPPORT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHYYYYYYYYYYY! the damn PSP has this capability..... shocking that the PSP has some capabilities the VITA does not.
