Ah I see.

Was there an MGS on the PS1?
I.e. I want to play all series but what other MGS were there before 2 and 3 (as part of this pack).

I never played the MGS series and this would be an incredible opportunity.

The first two games in the series (Metal Gear 1 and 2) are included in Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence. These are both set before the first Metal Gear Solid game (on PS1/PC) as is Metal Gear Solid 3 (the first of the prequels). Portable Ops and Peace Walker are 2 other prequels set between MGS3 and MGS1 - Portable Ops only being available on PSP (this isn't working with the Vita emulator yet), and Peace Walker being available on PSP (this is working on the Vita from what I've heard) as well as in the HD collection released on PS3 and Xbox 360. You could always start with the games in order of release (Metal Gear 1 -> Metal Gear 2 -> Metal Gear Solid 1 -> Metal Gear Solid 2 -> Metal Gear Solid 3 -> Peace Walker) or in chronological order (Metal Gear Solid 3 -> Portable Ops (if you have a PSP) -> Peace Walker -> Metal Gear 1 -> Metal Gear 2 -> Metal Gear Solid 1 -> Metal Gear Solid 2). While Metal Gear Solid 1 isn't included in this collection, it is easy to get a hold of these days (especially if you have a PS3 as I believe it's on the PS Store now, which also means you could play the 4th game) on either PS1, PS3, or PC. It's worth playing all the games in the series, and doing so either in order of release or in chronological order will have bonuses in their own way. I'd personally go for order of release (as this is the order I played them in as they came out and made plenty of sense to me) as you really get to see how the story and series develops over time.

I really like Gravity Rush! I was a bit surprised to see that only one shop here in Norway was stocking it, yet they all had Resistance.
Can be a bit confusing at times when you are flying around, which way is up etc :D

I'm looking forward to LBP.

Do they still sell games in the post offices there? I remember visiting relatives there as a kid and used to love going to the post office to buy games haha.

I was originally on the fence about getting LBP since it looked a bit gimmicky with the touch controls at first (and with owning the other games on PS3 I was a bit sceptical), but after playing the beta I have to say I'm impressed :) Will most likely be getting it at release as I can see the level editor being a lot of fun with the Vita's features, and will no doubt offer a lot of re-playability beyond the single player.

Still undecided on Gravity Rush. Was looking forward to it at first but people seem to slate it a lot.

Nah :) They are phasing out the post offices now, so that you do all that in food shops instead. They only sell games in electronics/games stores.

Why don't you try the demo for Gavity Rush? It's pretty short so you don't see much but still get the idea.

From the Vita sale so far I have Rayman (brilliant) and Escape Plan (very good).

Will pick up the following this week : -

Persona 3 Portable
Was €29.99/£23.99 – Now €17.99/£13.99

Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together
Was €19.99/£15.99 – Now €9.99/£7.99

Hoping Loco Roco 2 will come down in price also (and may have to pick up Wipeout even if it doesnt drop - I have HD and Fury on PS3)

Also pre-ordered MGS from Amazon for £21

:)

Not on here at least, but reviewers and such don't seem to think highly of it. Will probably get it at some point anyways since it looks good and I haven't bought a Vita game since Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention came out haha.

Ah what a shame :( makes sense though I guess.

I'll try and make some room and give the demo a go at some point tonight, this 8GB card just isn't cutting it haha.

Wow

Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together
Was €19.99/£15.99 – Now €9.99/£7.99

is a steal ! I already own it and its a fantastic game anyone who is into there SRPG's should deffo pick that up tbh.

I'l be picking up

Persona 3 Portable
Was €29.99/£23.99 – Now €17.99/£13.99

I was hoping that would drop a bit more in price. I would have prefered 9.99 :p but 13.99 is good enough.

But as for Gravity rush. Personally I really love it. But I have to say I think it will lack re-playablity tho. Im about 10 hours or so in now. But I have loved every moment so far. Its fun too play controls are pretty easy. The only thing I hate is having to use the touch pad to "gravity slide" then have to tilt the screen around like a mad man ! lol but you dont need to use the slide that much fact I hardly use it at all.

Nimdok, I picked up Disgaea 3 too and I have to say Gravity rush was a nice change of pace for a little while. But Disgaea 3 is pretty god damm awesome !

Have had my eye on Tactics Ogre for a while (Disgaea re-ignited my love for SRPGs), so can't say no to it at that price :D

I'm such a sucker for Shin Megami Tensei games, so it's a shame I already have P3P. Didn't enjoy it as much as FES on the PS2 but it's so damn good I'd gladly have paid £23.99 for it :p I actually can't wait for the re-release of Persona 4 later this year!

As much as I love Disgaea 3 (having spent an excessive amount of time on it the past few months, with several units not far from the 9,999 mark), it does look like Gravity Rush would be a welcome change of pace :D really liking the look of the art style and those comic strip cutscenes look awesome.

What does everyone recommend on the PSP/mini offers?

Going to skip MGS/Unit 13/Gravity Rush and get those through love film as they seem like one play though kind of games.

Personally I've only played Persona 3 Portable out of that list, and I can't recommend it enough if you're a fan of JRPGs (unless of course you already own/have played it). It had some gameplay elements removed from the PS2 version (instead of running around you just move a cursor and select where you'd like to go), but it has additional content that the PS2 version didn't have (a somewhat different storyline played from a female protagonist's perspective), and they left the dungeon crawling intact so none of that cursor moving stuff. Definitely a game with a lot of replay value as there are tonnes of Persona to collect and fuse, as well as multiple endings/choices in conversations. It's an absolute bargain at that price :)

I've not played the PSP versions, but if they're anything like their predecessors then I'd recommend Tactics Ogre if you're into your SRPGs, and Breath of Fire III if you're into your traditional JRPGs.

Kats hair is meant to only be affected by 'true' gravity, so if you're stationary it should show you which way up she's floating. At that point it may be just as easy to turn artificial gravity off and see which way she falls.

Judging by the amount of unanswered questions in the game, theres probably going to be a sequel.
