Are the Metal Gear HD,S good on the vita?

I can't comment on MGS3 as I haven't played it on Vita but MGS2 was dreadful. Just playing through the Tanker was like watching a slideshow at times, the drops in frame rate were pretty bad in quite a few sections and the controls felt really cramped and awkward for me. Don't bother, it's an experience designed for a home console and that's what you should be buying it on. For the record I've finished MGS2 4 times and platinumed MGS3 on PS3 and the frame rate was perfect each time so it's probably something to do with the Vita not being up to scratch hardware wise.

They might even offer it via PS+ so it might be worth waiting a month or two first.

The MGS HD collection runs perfectly fine for me on my Vita, no low FPS or stuttering.

I've only played MGS3 but haven't experienced any slow down.

completed MGS2 and currently playing though 3 and so far no slowdown, i do agree they work slightly better on console but its great knowing that you can play them anywhere you wish

Deffo worth it, very good game. No idea if will be on PS+ soon though.

Will prob grab it then - have only played my vita for 10 mins since buying it in may last year! i had vitua tennis on my psp and i loved it - so hoping will be the same if not better

Has anyone played virtues last reward? I'm thinking of picking it up but there are two of us who want to play it. Does it allow more than one save?

Yup, allows three saves :) One of the best games I played last year, though to get the most out of it it's worth playing the prequel (999 on DS) and importing the US version (PAL version only has Japanese voices due to licensing funs :( )

Everything Dan said is spot on! I finished it last week (there are 10+ endings) and enjoyed it immensely. Definitely worth either playing or at the very least reading up on 999 before you play VLR.

Only caveat I would add is that there is a LOT of story/reading, personally I loved it but if you're expecting a lot of puzzles/gameplay then it might not be for you although I'd still recommend giving it a try.
