***** PlayStation Vita Official Thread *****

Finally caved and picked up a Vita, my boys said they wanted it for Killzone and that latest deal I couldn't resist.

3G / Wifi PS Vita, Killzone, Virtua Tennis, 8GB Memory card, £129.99. Not bad at all considering we have a ton of games ready to play on PS+. I doubt I will ever need to buy games thanks to plus. Great deal considering the hardware imho.

How did you get the extra tenner off? I'm assuming that is the Argos deal which is £139 with a £10 voucher that presumably cant be used on the same transaction?

Ah yeah you're right, the cost was £139.99 but they gave me £10 back in a voucher. So it only cost £129.99. Used the voucher to pay for something else I ordered :-D

The screen is a beauty, no dead pixels, viewing angles color, very impressive. So far I'm just setting it up updating software. Haven't run a game yet, my son is eager to try Killzone :)

guarantee'd you'll be impressed for such a little thing! ;)

Just got me a 32Gb memory card for £43 too - argoos got them but mail order only. The forest never seems to have em in stock!

If you've got a PS+ subscription its defo worth getting a bigger card.

You're right, can't believe how good handheld tech is getting tbh. Killzone was very impressive, I had seen videos but when you see it on the tiny oled screen it looks amazing. Me and my son had go on it, didn't realize you had only one sort of save spot for the campaign, so accidentally started again thinking he could have his own save lol. Now gotta start over :p.

Downloaded some of my PS+ games to it, weird thing happened, got Rayman installed no problem. Also downloaded SF V tekken and a lego game, but when I try to install those games it says,

'could not find application'

Anybody had this? Is their a fix?

Just picked up guacamelee in psn sale :)

Seems to be a cross play and halloween one at same time atm

Really want to get this but been holding off as I'm sure it'll be a PS+ game before too long. Don't think the sale is quite enough to tempt me this time though.

The guy on the PSN blog as much as guaranteed that Guacamelee would be on plus soon, and Hotline Miami in 2014

In saying that...I grabbed it at launch and felt it was really worth the money, great game!

I think I saw the same response to comments on the blog post. I got Hotline Miami as soon as it came out and loved every second so won't regret paying for it. My general stance is that unless I get it immediately I'll either wait for it to be a bargain in a sale or grab it when it goes on Plus. It's Sony's fault for being too generous! :D

ahh well, for the asking price with the additional PS+ discount it was a steal tbh so not worried. Hotline will be nice in the future though :)

Picked up a Vita 3G, KillzoneM, VT4, 8GB from argos today for the massive sum of £50!

Had £50 in nectar points, £30 Bonus Bond Vouchers, £10 voucher back (which used on lampshade for home), so all in all cost me £50 cash. Cant complain :)

Want to sell the 8GB memory card and upgrade to a larger one. Will the 32GB one be enough for PS+ collection or shall I go with the 64GB one?

64Gb card is expensive b!
The forest has the cheapest 32Gb cards at 39.99 but usually always out of stock. Argoos however has the 32Gb ones for £43 (£3 more) but at least their in stock (check HUKD).

Defo recommend a larger card - can only fit on about 4-5 games (2 decents ones and three tinny tiny ones) on an 8Gb card.

Most of the bigger games you will not replay though tbh. Do you really need all of your games on at the same time?....I am thinking of upgrading from my 8gb, but not bothered tbh. Atm I have Street Fighter X Tekken, Hotline Miami, Stealth Inc, Gravity Rush, Thomas Was alone and Final Fantasy vii on mine, plus the boxed games I have. Most games don't have replay value tbh, and if I do feel like replaying Uncharted, I shall download it again.

Edit- I still have 1gb free as well.

Oh and how many Vita's can connect to one PSN / PS+ account? As my nephew has a vita too but doesn't have PS+, could he leech off my account for free games?

Yeah 2 x vita's on one PSN account (PS+ included), though only one can be online for MP. Just bought two for my lads, they can download the same games and play adhoc like mad. Had a spare Killzone, so stuck it on the MM. If anyone's looking for cheap PS+, 365 days for £30 in HMV. And 32gb memory cards for £35 if you email David on the Flubit site.
