I think there's a patch coming - Japan have received it, and NA is to follow. It'd be odd if we didn't get it after them.

isnt the cheaper LCD revision Japan only? or is it now due worldwide?
I love my Hori grip, I can't stand playing any games without it anymore
still waiting for mine to arrive, appears Hermes lost it enroute to me....THANKS THEN! no update since Tuesday am on its whereabouts and even the CS at the rainsforest cant get an answer for me
When it turns up it will be replacing the Wifi version - dno what the plans are but least it gives you an idea if its worth waiting or not before you lose that choice - definitely looks like the original is worth getting over the revision. For me persoanlly Im thinking Vita or Wii U for Christmas...

Im guessing the left is the new one as the black levels on the current one seem excellent although i do notice a few slightly blacker marks it seems thats normal and only noticable on black loading screens playing in an unlit room at night... so not my main concern atm
This is an issue on all OLED screens to some extent, including the very latest Note 3 phone.

One of the things I am really surprised that they did not change with the new model is the position of the speakers. Its very very easy to cover the left speaker with part of your hand while using the thumbstick.
