Handling fee + vat@20% possible duty, but if it's classed as computer parts that's normally zero duty.

aye I know. Just I normally get hit importing 1/6 figures with a fee of 30-50 quid + 10quid handling fee. They even refused a delivery until I paid an outstanding bill.

Just wondering if his vat was smaller than the handling fee.

Sorry misread your post. Memory card was about £70 not sure if that included the shipping costs. Going from one of his earlier posts.

Really? From Fedex? How much of a custom bill are we talking about here? 10quid admin fee then a pound or two?

It was on 2 parcels, £15 each for VAT and £10 handling fees, so £50 in total.

I've done the same with parcel force, except I walked out of their depot twice with my parcels after paying them nothing at all because they wouldn't waive their excessive handling fees.

Their stance was that they wouldn't take any payment unless it was full payment so I opted for no payment.

Try http://www.dutycalculator.com/ for a reasonable estimate.

I've bought bits and pieces from all over. In my experience Japanese imports always seem to attract the dreaded customs. Also depends on the shipping method, with FedEx or EMS it's more likely than standard air mail. Always factor it into the price for comparisons.

It's a good game let down by the frame rate I feel. They're bringing the "HD" version to the PS3 early next year.

No customs charges for me on my 64GB Vita card, thanks to the good folks over in japan

£68 delivered and only took a few days to get here, so wouldn't bother with FedEx guys as you'll get by custom fees and more expensive postage to boot, for not much quicker delivery.

:D marked down for the win

Btw would it be worth while investing in a good wireless router? My homehub seems to be getting bogged down with a few people using it in the house. Children streaming movies from the network. Worried that it will effect the vita streaming games.

I'm just looking at the place you bought it from, which method did you choose, air mail im presuming but did you go with the insured or uninsured?

Craterloads where'd you order that from?

Also anyone got Origins Blackgate? Looks quite good.

Nippon Yasan, site is in English too just select at top. PayPal accepted.

Airmail insured, only like £1 more so probably worth it. Took 5 working days to get here. Had to sign for parcel and was delivered by royalmail postman.

So that makes three of us now with no extra charges...;)

There a UK person who didn't get any extra charges for his 64gb card from Nippon on another forum..

Tesco are selling PS Vita 3G and Wifi for £139 + 8GB 10 game DLC card but if you put the PSVita into the basket you cannot add the memory card as out of stock, hmmm shame as that is a darn good deal, wouldn't think twice about ordering one of those for the boy... He would make use of it, he likes my PS Vita..

And with PS4 arriving shortly, wise buy I reckon at that price.
