SNIP - tracking issues, juddering in Arkham VR

After being away for the week I went back on yesterday and initially had the same issues in Ocean Descent. Moving my head in the cage kept of re-positioning my body.

A bit more research and found a reddit post suggesting that the camera/tracking can start playing up when resuming from sleep.

Bingo - turned off fully and the experience was back to the accuracy I had initially, Ocean Descent had no more position shifts and Batman Arkham VR is as good as everyone has been saying.

So tip for anyone having tracking issues - power off fully rather than rest mode.

I sold mine already. I couldn't be annoyed pulling that out all the time with the wires all over my living room. I just accepted what i paid for it. The experience was good but it wasn't for me. I just like to sit back and chill with my controller instead of looking like Robocop. I tried the Htc Vive and i found it to be higher quality and the headset was more comfortable.

You need to relax man. Think of VR as an experience. Games like Battlefield 1 are great(by the sounds of things) but PSVR just blows everything away at this point in time, unless you like spreadsheets related to football, i.e. football manager 2017.

I plan to relax, that's why i sold it. It doesn't blow everything away the Htc vive is a better experience. Its how you want to play your games, until this becomes wireless i wont be interested.

At this moment in time I would say it would be substantially heavier which would be another issue. When I tried out the vive the wires were hanging from the ceiling. It had the cameras mounted on the ceiling and your room became the usable environment. With the psvr you have to be always facing the camera. The cost difference is massive but the vive beats it easily. I just know the vr would have became a novelty very quickly for me as it not how I want to be chilling out playing my games all the time. It does do what it supposed to quite well but I found it boring quite quickly.

Unless they create some sort of wireless battery backpack that connects to the headset or something? I know MSI are creating a backpack PC with hot swappable batteries for VR headsets so maybe lose the PC from it and just have a wireless battery backpack as it were.

I've been playing through Here They Lie, what a cool game it's a bit of a mind trip thats for sure but enjoying it. Played around 3 hours so not sure how much is left but I'll probably finish it on the next go.
