I don't know if it's a bad month for insurance or something because a few weeks back just before I bought my car I did an online quote with NUD.

Now I did one the other day and it's gone up £10 per month more!

Incorrect, T series engines do not have head gasket problems, it probaly has it replaced due tot he common oil leaks from the side of the block which isnt a problem.

No just the 2.0 and 2.0 Turbo engines.

the 1.6 engines which dont suffer HGF are the honda ones but on my 216GSI with Honda engine.. yup.. head gasket went!

Does it matter if they still make cars or not? I can assure you the build quality on my Rover is better than that of a Saxo.

Fact is the Saxo is a good car, its quick enough and goes round corners well.

Fair enough the insides might fall apart but my saxo never let me down, dunno if El's or Si's has but almost eveyone i know with a rover has had serious trouble.

The only problem i have is a slight knocking noise from my front suspension, the previous owner also had no problems it is now 4 years old and done 33k miles of trouble free motoring (touches wood), GT3 admits he has driven his like he has stole it for the last 50k and he also has had little problems.
