I was with them for a couple of months before I left after they tried to force a change of the terms and conditions of their users without giving them the proper timeframe to accept or reject. After many threats of legal action by many users, they let us out of our contracts. Suffice to say I wouldn't go back to them if you paid me.
AskSam states our exchange is the Newport Savoy.
Really? I've been here a decade and I've no recollection of any T's & C's change that didn't come with the obligatory 30 day notice period![]()
I'm on the Gravesend exchange, which is at the end of my road. Think the line distance was measured at only 300 metres but I still don't get as quick a service as I would have thought.
There was a huge uproar on their forums at the time, with many MANY people up in arms about it.
Not really happy with Plusnet. Sometimes they can be good, but I've had lots of problems with video streaming - sometimes the browsing would be fine, but streaming a video would be impossible. Very slow at peak times (say between 6PM and 8PM) and also very unreliable. I am regularly finding my connection has dropped and I need to reboot my router. Lately I've also been suffering regular lag spikes while playing games online, so I'm thinking of switching to Be* Unlimited (I hear some good things about them and as I'm thinking about subscribing to Netflix, an unlimited service would be preferable).

All of the posts in our forums are still visible. We archived the old ones and imported them to the new forums when they were launched. The posts go back to ~2003.
If the T's & C's change concerned dial-up services then it pre-dates my time here. I'd be surprised if it was broadband specific and I didn't know about it. Regardless, if it was that long ago I suppose it's not of much relevance any more.
Edit: Just realised there were forums prior to 2003 too.

Then something's definitely amiss. Have you ever reported it to our helpdesk? If you message me your username then I'll take a quick look at your account if you want to see if I can spot anything untoward?
Best regards,
Interestingly, those forum posts you linked have no posts from me in there that I could see, and I was a fairly active poster in the time I was there, so I'd suggest that what's there is a *massaged* version![]()
Unfortunately I've been too busy lately to log any problems I have or try and establish a pattern for disconnections.
Am I being stupid, or is there no Private Message function on these forums?
As in, just: 45334390 ?

I have actually been trying a wired network lately. My PC is connected to my router by WiFi, but a friend recently leant me a set of these as I prefer to be wired physically if I can.
Im using a Netgear DG834 router. Although I have a Plusnet supplied router, I've stopped using it as it's made by Thomson, which means playing Steam games is impossible (well known issue apparently).
