well you are wrong. Why do people feel the need to spout this anti-apple crap?
because we don't like you.

and anyway, pretty sure the official software used to convert mp3's to another format when transfering from your pc to the ipod even if it no longer does anyway.

yes they can, what the **** are you talking about?
I've been lead to believe they can't play mp3s they have to convert them. Which i thought was ironic considering the name ipod and mp3 player tend to have to same meaning. I could be wrong though...

Do you know how much bandwidth must cost when millions of people download it?
It goes against the philosophy of the internet. It should be ad funded like the millions of other free things on the internet, or simply free if that's viable.

I certainly do, but they were sponsored by The Guardian, and hosting was provided by positive internet, then he saw another way to milk money, like bloody flanimals.

The stuff he makes is funny, but I can't help but feel he's not in it for the passion of comedy, just money.

It was awesome when it was free, and I couldn't wait to listen to the newest one, when he started charging, I stopped, as I'm sure a lot of other people did, I'd be interested to see the growth rate before and after the fee.

Disk mode -> oh look .mp3 extension on my ipod.

You're getting confused, the only conversion iTunes does it of wmv format into .acc (I think it's acc). Mp3 stay as mp3's in both iTunes and the iPod.

no, there is definately some truth in it. i think they actually convert to mp4. so they will play your mp3's, but not in mp3 format. :p

So my MP3's convert to videos

Stop talking nonsense.

The IPOD uses a system of tagging and only reads the tagging information. If you don't tag your MP3's correctly then they will go all over the place on the IPOD. Other players can also use the tagging information because it can be quite useful if you want to search by year, genre etc.

no, i think the confusion lies in the fact that songs downloaded from itunes are in protected mp4 format aparantly (having googled).
