This is exactly what I thought entering this thread .
Magic: The Gathering and some other card games don't need to be in pristine condition to be worth a bit of money as a lot of them are in demand as game pieces.
It's definitely worth having a look, especially if you played in the mid 90s to early 00s and still have your collection.
sell them for cash in hand locally. If you ebay you run a risk of someone saying the packs are reseals and getting a refund.
Yeah this was exactly my worry if I used ebay
It is almost guaranteed to happen as well, so please don't be tempted. Forum member asked on here about despatching a couple grands worth of MTG abroad and swiftly got a claim that it was a fake.Yeah this was exactly my worry if I used ebay
Snip
Could I borrow your expertise if you don't mind? Had my box of cards turn up last week and the plastic shrink wrap on the outside has a patch that's kind of melted through. Need I be worried that I've bought fakes? Came from chaos cards so I just assumed they'd be fine. Yet to open them and look inside as I thought it would be easier to return if they were still sealed.
Been outta the game a looong time, what was it you bought?
Chaos cards are a decent stockist from what I remember other than some claiming to get discount codes for posting better reviews
Quick look on ebay tells me there aren't a lot available, but could be something like £1k per pack (or even more). Even empty packs are on there for about £50. If you sell them definitely do it in person!
So say he opened them instead of selling them, what would be the best card to pull from these packs? And what be the value of that card, it might be like giving a winning lotto ticket away.
