Pokemon GO! (2016)

Officially, it comes out in the UK on both iOS and Android by the end of the week. So should be in the next couple of days.

For Android though you can just sideload the APK. For iOS, apparently creating a dummy US Apple account works.

I just change my region to US and my address to a random one in LA and it works without issue. No need for a seperate account.

not compatible on my HTC one XL

WTF

I get the same thing with my OnePlus 1. Is this because I'm going via the play store?

It's not out in the UK yet, only Australia, New Zealand and the US. UK and Europe at the end of the week. I suspect it's to give them time to prepare more server power before the majority of europeans smashes in.

You can sideload the APK from here: http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/nianti...lease/pokemon-go-0-29-0-android-apk-download/

I'm already seeing a lot of players in Central London, and not a lot of people know how to sideload APKs/change regions on iOS, how busy is it going to get on official release :p?

it says min Andriod 4.4
mine is 4.2.2

It's usually when the US is up, I noticed that the servers go potatoes. During the morning and past 11pm it's usually fine. A big shame, noticed a couple of gyms was easy for the taking but wouldn't load at all.

This is such a missed opportunity. It barely retains any of the gameplay of the 'normal' Pokemon games, has no PvP, and the Gym battles are pretty 1 sided given you can take 6 Pokemon against the single one that is guarding the Gym (unless I'm missing something)?

A Pokemon game that doesn't have turn based combat is like a racing game that has no cars. Why couldn't they allow you to battle against the wild Pokemon before you capture them, like normal?

I'm bored of it already. Back to Ingress for me I think.

More players in the same team can add pokemon to the gym. I've seen gyms around central London with around 4/5 pokemon.

I wish there was proper PvP as well as trrading as well. I think they plan for trading to be a special event thing however.

It's still early days though but hopefully they'll listen to the community and slowly make Pokemon GO feel more like Pokemon.

Decided to just wait for official UK release, as the servers are clearly not meant to be supporting the amount of players outside of where it has been released haha

This could be Nintendos saving grace. But I bet they mess it up.
Unless some big core changes are made it might not last.

Things shouldn't refresh so quick
Pokemon should be harder to catch
2 moves per pokemon sucks

So so much potential though!
