I would guess because you dont get xp from transferring and it will waste time out of your lucky egg to transfer 40 pidgeys.

Is that list 100% correct. I've opened 4 10k eggs and only gotten 2 pokemon from the list of 10k options.
Having never evolved anything, nor used a lucky egg, how does it waste time though? Do you need to transfer them at that time? Why can't you just evolve some pidgeys and keep some pidgeys?

That's how I would do it...stockpile and then evolve
Yes, but if you have 40 Pidgeys and only candies to evolve 20 of them, transfer the other 18 before, you have 18 more candies and can maybe evolve two more.
ahh right! I see, transfer some more in for more candies, I get it now

Yeah, you only get 1 per transfer but for each you catch and then transfer, its essentially 4 candies.
Of course, but I don't have the game so if I magically could play it now it'd take a while to take them, but it wouldn't be hard.
It's been spot on for me and the missus having hatched 10 10k eggs between us, and SilphRoad agrees.

I always keep the game on when I'm city driving as I tend to pick up loads of walking KM with the low speed. Idling at a traffic light... Pikachu appears! Holy **** I quickly tapped him to start battle before I pulled away as battles keep running regardless of distance. Pulled up a quarter mile later, your mine now........ I had no pokeballs, none, nothing, nada. Got a picture of the little yellow ******* dancing and taunting me before I had to let him go.

Ouch man, that's harsh! My brother has had that happen before. This is where I wish they would introduce same team trading as I could give him some lol

Very weird, I've opened 4 eggs and only have 2 pokemon from the list and only have 1 of each (Mr Mime and Eevee). Very weird indeed.
Well it seems the game felt guilty
Stopped at s spot on the coat where a load of pokestops overlap and I caught a load of new Pokemon (on the new account) got a Jynx, Pincer, Sandshrew, Eggexecute, Magikarp, Paras, Female Nidoran, Psyduck and a Krabby
